Gillette yet again is “restructuring and diversifying” its marketing campaign of inclusivity – abandoning their long stance on targeting just men in their fight of getting the best shave. In response to the “Me Too Movement,” the Boston, MA company decided to rebrand their image, and change their marketing credo from “The Best a Man Can Get” to “The Best Men Can Be.” Perhaps that slogan would have dealt dividends in the eyes of the “Me Too’ ers;” however, considering the February 22, 2019, sexual solicitation charges brought up against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who Gillette sponsors the Foxborough, MA stadium where the Patriots exhibit, a rapid change seemed inevitable. Sure enough, a hard-left approach emerged on the playing field.
Since January 2019, Gillette has promoted an ad campaign against “toxic masculinity” in their aim to “promote body positivity” – however, this rapid change in pace doesn’t just include a shift in the stance of the male species, but now consists of the transgender lifestyle. This week, Gillette released a new television commercial that depicted a father instructing his transgender son in the art of shaving. Samson, the depicted transgender, when asked about his thoughts on the new geared ad, he stated that “I’m happy. It’s not just myself transitioning; it’s everybody around me transitioning.” Hang on now there – did Samson say “everybody?”
According to a 2016 survey conducted by the Williams Institute, an estimated 0.6% of American adults identify as transgender. In the 2010 census, there were an estimated 327,167,434 people in the United States, with 71% or 255,844,933 of the above being classified as adults. So, of the estimated 255,844,933 adults in the United States, 1,535,069 identify as transgender – seems hard to state that “everybody” is transitioning. I would submit that is the façade that the LGBTQ is erecting before the American people; however, according to a 2017 PEW poll, most Americans still discard the transgender lifestyle.
In today’s liberal-controlled media, the “spin” is to paint the picture of both acceptance and inclusiveness to many lifestyles and choices; especially when these choices pertain to matters of sexual orientation. Without debating religious views (without of course ignoring that God states that “If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them” [ Leviticus 20:13]), is depicted Samson correct that there is a transition among Americans? While some deem lifestyles as a protected classification and freedom, most Americans disagree. Let us not forget the Founding Fathers of this Great Nation did framework the constitution to provide protection and freedom of discrimination against life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. However, only through loose-lipped, viper-laden litigation have those three guarantees somehow transitioned into a call for protection of minority views, opinions, and choices to be absorbed as “mainstream” forcing the majority to tolerate both publicly, privately, and financially.
The Trump Administration has reported that 8-million of the 50-billion annual military budget is spent due to the high health care costs of enlisted transgender military personnel. Advocates of the LBGTQ “movement” argue that these costs are minuscule and make up less than 1% of the annual Armed Services budget; however, I would say that when the smoke clears, American taxpayers are being held at ransom to spend 1% of 50-billion to cater and support a lifestyle of a population less than 1-percent. To me, it is simple math – why pay 1-percent of anything for a community of 1-percenters?
America was founded on freedom – the words of the Statue of Liberty read “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore, send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” Against the Big Machine of American Liberalism, the numbers don’t deceive – most Americans are yearning, possessing a burning desire to break the chains of liberal thought that embrace every choice as protected freedom. Today’s America has adopted a religion of self – indicating no matter personal choices, “everyone” must adapt and appropriate to their behavior, and when their choices bring about repercussions, it is the right of others to empathize with their plight and often finance their desires. I know that I do not speak for “everyone,” but I do share the sentiments of a nation founded on “majority rules” when I state that our country’s minority lacks responsibility and accountability – and thus lack real direction. Lady Liberty is right – the huddled masses have spoken and are tired; in fact, exhausted of being the financiers of fickle freedoms!
