There has been a lot of discussion regarding credibility recently. Rep. Adam Schiff suggests that the whistleblower, even without first hand knowledge, is a credible witness. Even with his argument, Schiff is not very convincing regarding credibility of the whistleblower.
Even Rep. Schiff himself was not very credible in dealing with the incident. Schiff came under fire for fabricating comments regarding the phone call in his opening statements. Spreading false truth is not what makes someone credible. President Trump called out Rep. Schiff for his credibility.
This is actually what we have seen from Democrats for some time. Obviously, Democrats went to Merriam-Webster’s online and determined that they only needed to worry about satisfying that definition of credible. There, it indicates that you only need to offer reasonable grounds for being believed. Yet this does not seem to satisfy the legal definition of credible.
Which is exactly where the Democrats have struggled with their actions in this Congress. I found a document on the NY Courts website that talked about credibility in the legal realm. In the document the description of credibility involves evidence, character and motive.
There have been questions regarding motive of the whistleblower since it was released there may have been political motive behind the move. There is no evidence to support any illegal activity, so the credibility argument is difficult to prove in this case. Yet, the Democrats want you to overlook that based on the greater good.
This is just like they wanted you to look past the credibility of Christine Blasey Ford, who fabricated a story without any evidence of a sexual assault against Justice Brett Kavanaugh. There was no proof or evidence. There were questions about motive, yet we must believe her because she is worthy to be believed.
Then we had the credibility of the Mueller report that Democrats pushed. There was no evidence in the report and no indication of any wrong doing, yet they pushed for impeachment of President Trump based solely on the fact “we need to do it.” Credibility was questioned on those who worked under Mueller and specifically in Mueller’s horrible testimony before congress.
Now we come to the Ukraine issue where again credibility is an issue. Democrats have indicated they will launch a formal impeachment inquiry into President Trump. The funny thing is that they said they would pass this inquiry earlier this week, but have yet to hold a vote as of the time of this writing on the official inquiry.
The only thing we know about Democrats at this point is that THEY have no credibility. They push misleading storylines and lies about events from witnesses that have no credibility. It leads to the Americans having no faith in these Democrats that they are interested in addressing issues Americans care about. They are so focused on Trump that they have forgotten those they were elected to serve.
