According to recent reports, it appears that Democrats could be panicking. Let me explain. Several months ago, Democrats were doing well. Joe Biden was the clear front runner and raising cash like a machine. Fast forward to present, Biden has fallen behind and is struggling to raise cash. Bernie Sanders, the second tier candidate, has a heart attack and has cut back on events. Now, Elizabeth Warren is the clear favorite to win the nomination.
It’s not just these things, however. Democrats had done well for months holding back the radical base of their party to keep them from pushing impeachment. AOC and her squad had been pressing for impeachment for some time. Finally, they succeeded in pushing Nancy Pelosi into impeachment.
Now, Democrats face a presidential election in which their candidate is struggling with independents and in head to head polling against Trump. Democrats are scrambling to try to find a candidate that could potentially join the race to win the nomination to defeat Trump. I’ve written about this before, but several recent articles propose a couple of scenarios.
One recent article highlighted the call for Michelle Obama to run in 2020. According to reports, Michael Moore and other Washington insiders have been encouraging Obama to tun for the presidency. They believe she has a real shot at winning the matchup against Trump. While I do not see any indications that Obama plans to run, the concept is interesting. Obama would bring a powerful name to the race that has the ability to fundraise as a top tier candidate.
Another article proposed another scenario that I warned readers about months ago. Steve Brannon suggested recently that Hillary Clinton would run again in 2020. I believe this could be another likely scenario. Sure, Clinton brings a familiar face that could easily raise funds and compete as top tier. There’s a lot more to see here.
I believe either of these candidates could enter the race and be a safe move for Democrats. I do not see Democrats nominating a male candidate that would supersede a woman front runner. The radical base would cry foul and this would be unsuccessful. This makes Obama and Clinton the only logical choices to jump in.
While Clinton has denied any desire to enter the race, Trump teased her and suggested on Tuesday that she get in the race.

Clinton’s response has Democrats excited.
Don’t tempt me. Do your job.

In the end, I do not believe Clinton will run in 2020. I feel that Democrats have waged their entire 2020 strategy on impeachment of President Trump. I still do not believe that they will be successful, as do some leaders in their party. Over the next few weeks, I will be interested to see if there are any candidates that decide to jump into the race.
