On Tuesday, October 15, ABC / Good Morning America aired a sit-down interview with Biden and Amy Robach, which illustrated a very combative and somewhat confused entitled, son of former Vice President and 2020 Democratic Candidate, Joe Biden. After weeks of Trump attacks and media scrutiny, alas, Biden arose from the confines of his “California Compound” to defend his Chinese and Ukrainian business dealings that have been called into question as of late as House Democrats move forward with their official “impeachment inquiry.”
Almost immediately entering the private sector, Hunter Biden has played the role of a “Biden Brat” quite well. After graduating from Yale Law, Biden sought employment with MBNA America (now Bank of America), which was one of his father’s significant political, financial resources. In 2006, President George W. Bush appointed Hunter Biden to the Board of Directors of Amtrak, which he subsequently resigned his post in 2008 to pursue a lobbying career.
After receiving a commission from the United States Navy, Hunter Biden was later discharged in 2014 due to testing positive for cocaine in a urine screening. Biden would then state that he was not at fault for the positive screening and that he received cocaine-laced cigarettes from others. Almost right from the beginning, Hunter has failed to accept personal wrong-doings and accept accountability for his actions. Hunter has spent years dealing with addiction, battling ongoing stints in rehabilitation facilities that alcohol and drug abuse.
During the Robach interview, Biden refused to refer to his addiction clinics as rehabilitation facilities, but offered this:
“Like every single person that I’ve ever known, I have fallen, and I’ve gotten up. I’ve done esteemable things and things that are — have been in my life that I — that — that I regret. Every single one of those things has brought me exactly to where I am right now, which is probably the best place I’ve ever been in my life. I’ve gone through my struggles.”
The focus of the ABC interview was to bring to focus Biden’s foreign investment and business dealings with China and Ukraine. In 2014 Hunter Biden and Devon Archer, a former senior advisor to the John Kerry 2004 presidential campaign, joined the board of Burisma Holdings, the 2nd largest privately-owned natural gas producer in Ukraine. During the interview, Biden stated that he concurred that had his father not been the Vice President of the United States, he would not “probably not been considered for the job.”
“If your last name wasn’t Biden,” Robach asked, “do you think you would’ve been asked to be on the board of Burisma?”
“I don’t know. I don’t know. Probably not, in retrospect,” Biden said. “But that’s — you know — I don’t think that there’s a lot of things that would have happened in my life if my last name wasn’t Biden.”
“Because my Dad was Vice President of the United States. There’s nothing, as a young man or as a full-grown adult that — my father in some way hasn’t had influence over. It does not serve either one of us,” Biden continued.
Later in the interview, Robach asks Biden if he thought that he was “qualified” for such a board position.
“I was vice-chairman of the board of Amtrak for five years,” he continued. “I was the chairman of the board of the U.N. World Food Program. I was a lawyer for Boies Schiller Flexner, one of the most prestigious law firms — in the world.”
“I think that I had as much knowledge as anybody else that was on the board — if not more.”
“If not more?” The Liberty Loft has investigated the qualifications of some the other Burisma board members – they are as follows:
- Alan Apter (Chairman) – Current Managing Director of Eaglestone Capital Corporation and serves on the board of Merrill Lynch and Wood & Co. Financial Services.
- Joseph Cofer Black – former CIA official who was appointed Ambassdor-at-Large and Coordinator of Counterterrorism by President George W. Bush. Before his 2004 departure, Black served as Director of Operations at the CIA and the Counterterrorist Center.
- Aleksander Kwaśniewski – President of Poland from 1995 – 2005. A Socialist, left-wing leader that co-founded the Democratic Left Alliance.
So, to Hunter claims that he was “better qualified” then some of his other board colleagues – what a laughable statement! Are the American people to believe that a man who was removed by the United States Navy for drug abuse, and only served in appointed capacities are a direct result of being “Biden’s Boy” is better qualified for a board than that of a former CIA director, head of state and a man who has had more board memberships and financial directorships than Biden had zits as a kid? Come on folks – that’s a man-size load of malarkey.
Hunter has continuously defended his father, stating that he and his Dad never personally benefited from his business dealings. Not so fast, boy! According to Interfax-Ukraine News Agency, Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden received $900,000 for lobbying activities from Burisma Group, Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada member Andriy Derkach said citing investigation materials. “This was the transfer of Burisma Group’s funds for lobbying activities, as investigators believe, personally to Joe Biden through a lobbying company. Funds of $900,000 were transferred to the U.S.-based company Rosemont Seneca Partners, which according to open sources, the New York Times, is affiliated with Biden. The payment reference was payment for consultative services,” Derkach said.
Wait a minute – did a Ukrainian news outlet report as early as October 9, 2019, that they have substantial proof that “Papa Biden” received nearly one-million in political contributions via Rosemont Seneca Partners – which was co-founded by Hunter Biden and Christopher Heinz, stepson of John Kerry? And yet, American liberal news outlets report daily that no conspiracies and no shady Biden business dealings have ever occurred. Come on folks, surely the American people are smarter than a fifth-grader and can see past the “Biden BS.”
The irony continues into foreign business relations as the Left push forward on their attacks against Trump – will the Dem’s hold one of their own to the same measuring stick? My guess is – of course not. As readers, please do not misconstrue either my tone or comments regarding Hunter Biden. Do I like the guy, absolutely, not? Am I attacking his struggles with addiction? Wholeheartedly, no! Addiction is a cancer – it doesn’t discriminate and destroys the lives of users, their friends, and families across the globe every day.
Did Hunter Biden profit on the coattails of his father? YES – and as a nation, we must identify and accept those facts. Every politician since our founding has used his or her influence for personal gain. Regarding Trump, and this circus of impeachment, like with Hillary, the dimwitted Dem’s are not remotely concerned of the facts of offshore financial dealings of the Biden’s of Clinton’s – instead, they want to crucify an administration hellbent on revealing to the American people the Democratic double standard of “do as I say, not as I do.”
And here’s the bottom line:
Hunter and Joe Biden as a dirty a pig in heat – call it Democratic learned behavior. The “Liberal Lies” of a botched Ukrainian investigation are as believable as aliens at Area 51, and eventually, through all the impeachment talk, Trump will prevail, and expose the Biden’s for the liars and political pirates and profiteers that they are.
