I recently read this article which talks about how you are probably a socialist and did not know it. After reading the article, I can assure you that I am not a socialist. In fact, I stand strongly against socialism in any fashion, as it really is communism. So as I read the article, I recall thinking why do the young voters believe this crap?
Socialism is popular among millennials and Gen Z. Many of these do not have a favorable view of capitalism, and prefer a socialist candidate. Want proof? Check out the data in this recent poll. These are American’s age 16 years old and over who responded they are more interested in socialism than capitalism. But where are they learning this?
As American youth has turned toward social media, it has become much easier as Democrats target the youth with the socialist propaganda. For instance, they consistently hear about free tuition, free healthcare or free anything else and are drawn to it because they see it as easy. They simply do not recall the concerns with communism or socialism from the past.
Gen Z was scheduled to pass Millennials as the most populous generation in 2019. All of these millennials and Gen Z youth have heard from the youngest of age that capitalism is horrible. They do not recall the Cold War or communism. They did not learn about those things in history at school. The majority of these youth are simply focusing on Instagram and Twitter followers, rather than the truth about the issues.
Recent reports show that the economists that are driving the decisions by the Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren camps is faulty. A lot of people could see right through the free programs that the math simply did not add up. Unfortunately, the younger voters do not see the details of the data, simply the star status of those who put out the message.
The left has done a great job in reaching the youth through the stars, while they have also put popular conservatives in a closet so to speak. As I have said before, we started this as a means to encourage people to get out of those closets. Conservatives need stars to get out and speak out on these issues to the youth. Thankfully, there are some organizations and people  that are doing just that. If you heard our podcast on Saturday, you heard one of those such people.
Rather than trying to make people hate the rich, we can start helping these younger American’s understand that capitalism affords them the opportunity to experience the same thing. Capitalism worked for Bernie Sanders, now he’s one of those horrible millionaires. The issue is not the economic system, the real issue is in power. Once the communists gain power, the best days are far behind us. We need to teach the youth history, rather than simply the now.
