On Sunday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez participated in an interview with Noticias Telemundo. The interview, conducted entirely in Spanish, was put up on their website and shared multiple times via Twitter. As with all of her interviews, statements by AOC provide more nonsense. Here’s a link to the interview. AOC shared a portion of it on Twitter as well.

In the interview, AOC said President Trump is afraid of strong women and an intolerant person. She accuses Trump of being racist, anti-immigrant and that his administration is corrupt. Speaking of corruption, I wonder how that campaign finance investigation is going for AOC? Ryan Saveedra over at The Daily Wire does a great job in outlining how scared of women Trump is. He quotes two articles where Trump employees more women than his predecessors and has appointed hundreds of women to various roles. It sure sounds like he has a problem with women.
The interesting part is that AOC later in the interview attempts to state she is not a socialist. She claims that they are not seeking full control of the economy, but simply human rights. AOC calls out healthcare, education and decent work. She obviously cannot bring up any of the actual proposals that they have for these things, or you would see otherwise.
AOC, like Sanders, has supported Medicare for all. This is a complete takeover of the healthcare system in the US.
People don’t want overly complicated choice between pricey, low-quality plans.
We want an affordable solution that covers our needs, like the rest of the modern world.
Medicare for All:
– Single-payer system
– Covers physical, mental, & dental care
– 0 due *at point of service*

AOC, like Sanders, has supported free college tuition programs. This would be a complete takeover of the college education industry in the United States.
Student loans are a scam.
PS: for the cost of the GOP tax scam (~$2 TRILLION), we could’ve already forgiven every student loan in America w/ billions left over. https://t.co/GXRHHWoKai

But AOC, like Sanders, has also called for a federal jobs guarantee. This would be a government takeover of private employment.
A Federal Jobs Guarantee" consists of four promises:
1. Guaranteed employment for any who seek it.
2. A starting wage of at least $15, federally.
3. ACTUAL healthcare (no copay or deductible ripoffs).
4. Paid sick & family leave.

I’m sorry, does this not seem like a complete government takeover of these economic areas? Maybe she is trying to mean they are not seeking control of every aspect of the economy, but in reality they are. Under their proposals, the federal government would control healthcare, jobs and all aspects of education. Do you see the issue here?
She wants to claim she is not a socialist, but this is exactly what she is. AOC is an open member of the Democratic Socialists of America. This group advocates for the removal of private ownership and control of businesses. But that’s not all, they have several beliefs they outline, copied here below.
We are socialists because we share a vision of a humane social order based on popular control of resources and production, economic planning, equitable distribution, feminism, racial equality and non-oppressive relationships. We are socialists because we are developing a concrete strategy for achieving that vision, for building a majority movement that will make democratic socialism a reality in America.
This interview is just more of the latest nonsense by AOC. She wants to try to wage a war with Trump over women, which is baseless. AOC tries to claim Trump is a racist and hates immigrants, but this is false. She claims to own and love socialism, but then denies she is a socialist. The scary part? People actually believe this garbage.
