Here lately, it seems that a lot of people are struggling with the understanding between fascism and patriotism. At a recent rally, AOC suggested that the US is becoming a fascist society. It really should not be a surprise this was a Bernie Sanders rally. It should also come as no surprise she said the US was not an advanced society. She simply states that an advanced society is a loving society. In other words, a society where there is no wrong.
Her comments regarding fascism also come along the heels of another interview I witnessed with Bill Weld. Weld is “running” against President Trump for the Republican nomination. In the interview, Weld said that GOP senators who do not vote against Trump will be voted out. It’s just more of the ridiculous statements that I talked about in another article recently. It was never about the party, it has always been about our country.
Fake Republicans, like Weld, and Democrats alike cannot understand why anyone would support President Trump. They want to throw out the word fascism to try to describe it. The suggestion is that President Trump is forcing obedience in the Republican Party. Even this NY Times article suggests Trump was ruling the Republican Party through fear and loyalty.
What they do not understand is that Trump knows exactly who he is representing. He has not been concerned about representing special interests in Congress. Trump is representing the American people. He represents those 60+ million Americans that voted for him in 2016 to put him in place to be a disruptor.
The confusion is that these are focused too much on their own special interests, rather than America as a whole. President Trump has displayed a level of pride and patriotism we have not seen in quite some time in our country. I’m certainly not saying that the past several Presidents were not patriotic and prideful in our country. But need I remind you of the Obama apology tour?
America is far from a fascist country. If you need to refresh your understanding of the term, here’s a great resource. Â Trump is not a dictator by any stretch of the thought. He is not demanding those get behind him and his ideas. Maybe the Democrats have forgotten all of the fascist actions that President Obama took part in. Rather than working with Congress, he simply just signed executive orders.
The left wants to tie Trump to fascism and the racial terminology that is included with it. That is their game plan to attempt to defeat Trump in 2020, but it will not work. They want to try to tie Trump to anything considered “alt-right” as that is their new term. They’ve referred to conservative writers and others as from this ideology.
Alt-right is far from being conservative and patriotic. Unfortunately, the left has forgotten about both of those terms. To the left, they no longer need conservatives. Their belief is that they can do it on their own. But then they also believe they do not need patriotism. To the left, they simply need followers that do not understand.
