It’s no secret that the media went right after President Trump and his various businesses soon after his election. The NY Times has consistently went after Trump’s hotels and almost been infatuated with them since he took office. They are not the only media group to go after Trump’s hotels, but they have numerous articles if you want to search and read them.
Earlier this year, the Trump organization said the hotel industry was weakening and they would now focus on other projects. In reality, the cause of this transition was the political climate. Why? Because the media has waged a war against anyone and anything with the name of Trump.
I’m sure the left celebrates this victory over the Trump hotels. Now, The NY Times has transitioned and will focus on Trump’s Office Buildings. Yes, it’s not enough that the media has attacked and financially hurt a private hotel business. In the article, The NY Times shares various office buildings around New York City that the Trump’s own or have ownership stake in.
I can’t help but think part of this is due to the President’s war on the news media. Just last year, The NY Times ran this article talking about how the President’s attacks on the media were working. The Times and other media outlets are missing that the President is simply recognizing that the majority of American’s do not trust the media. Honestly, the majority of American’s have not trusted the media in almost 15 years.
Gallup ran a survey and article which shows that 41% of American’s trust the media at this point. The article shows the media has not garnered the support of over half of Americans since 2005. Many lost trust in the media before 2005. What major event happened in 2005 that could have caused the shift in the media’s trust? Hurricane Katrina. I will not go into the details here, but there are countless criticisms of the media in the aftermath of Katrina in how they handled things.
So while the media continues to struggle, Trump continues to win on his attacks against them. The NY Times is not coming out in this article directly suggesting people abandon working with Trump properties. Yet, that is exactly what they are hoping happens following its publication. They want people to move out of these buildings. Why else would you write about all the various buildings the Trump’s own listing their addresses? Their names are not on the sides of these buildings.
If Trump were not President, these stories would not even be stories at all. The Trump Organization would be another private business making millions of dollars. Because the Trump name is tied to it, these buildings and businesses are pure evil. The media was never this interested in the private business dealings of President George W Bush. It’s perfectly clear, they hate President Trump.
