A couple weeks ago, I discussed on the podcast the ACLU calling for feminine hygiene products to be available in men’s restrooms. I discussed how this was absolutely asinine, since it’s impossible for a man to need feminine hygiene products. I even mentioned as a man, I have never once had a need for a feminine hygiene product. But now it appears this topic is not going away.
I came across this article from NBC News that discusses the pain for “transgender men” during menstruation. For clarity, it is physically impossible for a man to menstruate. Science says that only a female body goes through the process of menstruation. WomensHealth.gov shares that it is a physical process that a female body goes through. But here we have NBC News distributing an article that seems to indicate that a “man” can have a menstrual cycle. Please note, that every time man appears in this article, it will most likely be in italics since they are really referring to women.
The article follows “transgender man” Kenny Ethan Jones as he describes how he felt isolated as a “boy” that had to deal with a menstrual cycle. He said that he has dysphoria when he shops for women’s health products. He said those products were labeled and marketed to women, but not men. This lead to his dysphoria. Pardon me as I channel some Toy Story as Woody grabs Buzz to share some news. News flash!!! YOU ARE A FEMALE!
Transgender individuals will never reach a place of satisfaction or ease as long as they are living in a lie. The truth is that they are not what they claim to be. A female can change their body through surgery, dress like a man, take hormones or anything else a doctor tells her to do. The result? She is still a female that has went through unnecessary surgery, may be unnecessarily taking hormones and is dressing differently. You cannot change the gender in which you were born no matter what you do. Psychologically, this takes a toll.
How else do you explain the high suicide rates among transgender people? Just lying in itself has psychological effects. This article talks about some of those and how the lies effect you. The NBC article goes on to argue for easier access in areas that typically lack access to products for these “transgender men.” I’m going to propose a great idea here. How about easier access to mental health facilities to receive the help that these women need?
Oh that’s right, we can’t do that now. In an effort to become more accepting and inviting to these people, medical groups have decided to remove the mental health disorder classification for these people. The left continues to argue that the problem is that we are not accepting and inviting to these people. Their support groups say that we must learn to support them and help them reach their potential.
I’m all for helping and supporting people, but in the right manner to help them. Scripture teaches in Isaiah 64:8 that God is our potter and we are his clay. There’s something that is just unique about pottery that I love. I refer to this website for the next statement I make. In the FAQ’s, it talks about why two pieces are not identical. Here’s what it says:
Since every piece is individually made, no two pieces are identical. Each piece is one of a kind, bearing unique markings such as throwing rings (impressions made during the throwing process), a hand-applied decorative design, and signature. Accent glazes often flow and drip and therefore will be different on each piece. Together these reflect the “character” of the piece and are telltale signs that the piece is hand-crafted.Â
The way to help these people is not through trying to change who they are, but this is the suggestion of the main stream. The way to help is by helping them see just how special that they are. Every human being is one of a kind. We have uniqueness which gives us our character. The best day of my life was when I realized that God created me just how he wanted me. I realize that I am special and unique. There is no need to try to change who I am. I can be happy just as I am.
