Recently I wrote about how Democrats cannot figure out what they are. In the continuing saga, Democrats are now on the attack. No, I’m not referring the attack of President Trump, but the attack of themselves! Democrats are attacking each other and it’s making for some interesting headlines.
It starts with the Hillary Clinton statements regarding Bernie Sanders. As you recall, Clinton and Sanders were competitors in the 2016 Democratic Primary. Clinton went on the attack against Sanders saying that no one likes him in a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter.
She claims Sanders creates and environment around him of insults and attacks. She says this should be concerning to everyone, but that’s not all. Clinton continues saying that only one Senator supports Bernie Sanders and that no one likes him. Clinton was asked if she still felt that way, which she replied to affirming.
She refused to say if she would support Sanders if he were the nominee, but you have to wonder if she would. It’s obvious no love was lost between the two after their primary battle. She still gives Bernie the blame for her loss in 2016 to Trump. She continues to deny the fact that the majority of states didn’t want her.
Then I read an article that has statements from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez from Monday, where she claims the Democratic Party is conservative. That’s right, she used the word conservative to describe Democrats in her remarks. The statements came as part of an event in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.
She claims that Democrats are center or center-conservative in their positions. The statements were not complimentary, but critical of the party. AOC wants the left to be more progressive and move further left, but the true-believers” in the Democratic Party are preventing that from happening. She claims their support of capitalism is the downfall of the shift.
AOC continues being critical of the failure to vote on Medicare for All and describes how that she and Joe Biden should not be considered in the same party. She claims that in any other country they would be opposites. But she continues in her statements, claiming one would get cut and clipped. She was right.
In the statement, she said that they were not as interested in the money of the rich, but their power. She says that the business owners didn’t do the work, the workers did. It’s amazing to hear her theories in economics and business since apparently no one has ever thought up and risked everything to start a business.
AOC to billionaires:
To be ethical you need to give up control and power. So I don’t want your money as much as we want your power. The people, not me. pic.twitter.com/cmwlLTPXZm

Yet, this is all about power and control. The battle between the Democrats is an interesting one. On one hand, you have the socialists who want power and control. On the other, you have Democrats who want power and control. The only thing that they can agree on is their hatred of President Trump.
The battle rages on over the radical left. Without the support of the radical left, the moderate candidate cannot win. Clinton refers to this in her statements that 12% of Bernie voters sided with Trump. Without unity, Democrats will continue their battle long after Trump’s reelection in 2020. I’ve said before, the moderates hold the keys to this upcoming election, but they will not go as radical as AOC and her gang want.
