On Friday, President Donald Trump became the first sitting President to attend the March for Life rally. March for Life sponsors the rallies across the country to speak out against abortion and support alternatives such as adoption. While many people across the country supported this action, it obviously upset the left and the Democrats.
Media outlets right and left were reporting on Trump’s actions. His actions prompted some responses that were harsh as well. It renewed the debate over Roe v Wade, the landmark case decided in 1973 that allows abortions. That decision nears its 50th anniversary and there are new attacks on the decision. One person who has a problem with this is Alexis McGill Johnson, the President of Planned Parenthood.
Johnson penned an opinion article for CNN that was shared on Saturday just after lunch. She continues the lie of the left calling this reproductive health care. But that’s the least of your worries in reading her statements. She spoke out on Trump’s appointment of conservative justices who could “further erode the protections of Roe.” She complains about over 300 abortion restrictions filed in approximately 47 states. Then, she calls this an attack on reproductive care.
She describes the “wellbeing centers” opened on school campuses around Los Angeles and says that states should be like Los Angeles County. Why? Because these clinics are advising teenage girls on sexual activity and how to “make decisions about her body” without a parent around. The argument is that the girl wasn’t able to discuss this with her parents, but is that true? Rather than encouraging the relationship between children and their parents, we want to take the parents out of the equation.
I take issue with this part of her article. The parents should be trusted to safe guard and help raise the child. The UN even recognized that the family environment was important. On multiple occasions, the UN has argued that a child needs protection and safeguard before and after birth and is best raised in a family environment. It certainly is not the place of a public school to decide what is best for a child. Multiple studies cite that a child’s brain does not fully develop until their mid 20’s. How does one argue that a child should make this decision in high school without a parent?
To end her article, she specifically calls out Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh and local judges across the country. She implores people to pay close attention to those races and support judges who will protect reproductive rights. She cites a poll to say that 8 in 10 American’s do not want Roe v. Wade overturned, but it’s a little misleading. It’s actually 77%, but the same poll outlines the majority of American’s favor more restrictions on the law.
If you really want to know why Johnson is arguing to support Roe v Wade, you don’t have to look any further than the numbers. Yes, it’s all about the money. LiveAction.org has this information up to help you understand this is a big money business for Planned Parenthood.

This truly is a fight for life in regards to abortion. I’ve had many articles about the topic that I have written. To those who support abortion, life is simply a choice. A potential unwanted pregnancy is an inconvenience and a bother. But life is precious and something that is sacred. I’ve never once looked at a child, no matter their condition, and said they were better off dead. If you have, you are a sick individual.
I’m thankful for a President that stands for the right to life for the unborn. It’s amazing that President Trump is the first to attend the March for Life to me. The first rally was held in 1974. Think of all the Presidents that did not support the rally up until President Trump. While I have never agreed with everything President Trump has done, this is one of the great things he has done.
