On Tuesday night, President Trump addressed a joint session of Congress and the nation to deliver the State of the Union address. Contrary to what you will hear on the news, the state of the union is strong. Those on the left would have you believe that our nation is worse off, but if you watched the speech that is just not the case.
The content of President Trump speech was filled with statistics. These numbers show how unemployment is low, the economy is growing and the US is in a much better position than it was in four years ago. He highlighted differences between his administration and the previous administration. This will not sit well with a lot of Democrats.
It is very evident their hatred of President Trump prevents them from enjoying anything about this great nation. The Democrats seems hate this period we are living in economically. But it is really hard to argue with the statistics he shared. Historically low unemployment, jobs for veterans, soaring 401k’s and stronger trade deals are just some of those things.
Like President Trump or not, it is hard to argue with these numbers. The state of our union is strong and Democrats just cannot handle that. This was evidenced by Nancy Pelosi‘s actions after the speech. This will definitely be the talk of the media today.
In one of the most childish moves in congressional history Pelosi stands up and rips Trump speech in half. A lot of the media will blame this on Trump not shaking her hand. Honestly, watching it in real time I’m not sure if Trump saw her extend her hand for a shake, but he did not shake Pence’s hand either. For someone that claims to not hate the President, she sure seems to hate the President. There’s no other way to explain this than hate. The Daily Wire even called out the change in announcing President Trump. Pelosi snubbed Trump from the beginning. It’s pure hate on display. 
These Democrats simply cannot stand America being successful without government intervention. This is all about control. It always has been for the Democrats. The fact that they have no control over the President and the they cannot force their way. The country is doing well without the government intervening.
There was no need for increased welfare programs, taxes or government stimulus. We simply needed to allow the free economy to work again. The Democrats do not understand this. They may not like President Trump, but it’s hard to argue with the things he has done.Â
