NASA scientists are reporting that 2020 could be a very telling year for climate change. According to the reports, the sun is entering a period known as solar minimum. This is a period in which the sun does not give as much solar energy or heat. This is certainly some interesting news!
For years we have heard the climate change experts tell us that global warming would kill us. Leaders in the Democratic Party, like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, tell us that we have only 12 years to live without addressing climate change. This was a big push for the Green New Deal as they have termed it.
But the evidence is simply not there according to NASA. In fact, they indicate that this period could last up to 30 years leading to a “mini ice age.” These periods come every 400 years according to the article. The source gives evidence with multiple natural occurrences that are showing signs of increasing ice caps. This is quite contrary to what you would hear from the left.
The interesting thing is that the left would argue that you should trust the government. This is a government agency, so it should be a reputable source right? Please don’t take what I am saying wrong. I do believe in protecting the environment. I do believe we should care and should protect and do what we can, but I also realize that the environment goes through cycles like this.
We enter an election cycle where we will hear constant attacks on the right about climate change. The left will continue their push for the Green New Deal, a policy we simply cannot afford. Again, I believe we must do what we can, but it must also be responsible.
So as the Democratic field narrows and the calls for climate change and climate responsibility rise, keep this in mind. The left will continue to pander to special interests, rather than focusing on the facts. They want to cause panic and worry. Worry about the climate, worry about election tampering and worry about a successful administration. Don’t fall for the rhetoric.
