Boston, M.A. – Governor Charlie Baker has issued a stay home order for the state of Massachusetts on Monday. The order takes effect Tuesday, March 24 at Noon EST and is in effect until April 7 at Noon. This order is effective across the entire state.
Due to increases in COVID-19 cases and related deaths, the order was issued to keep citizens in place. All non-essential business is to be closed. Travel is not banned, but strongly discouraged. Specifically among the high risk age groups.
Grocery stores, healthcare facilities and gas stations should remain open during this time. He went on to describe activities that should be limited during this time as well.
