San Francisco, C.A. – On Saturday, a spokesperson for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D, CA) called on President Trump to focus on the coronavirus pandemic. This comes after President Trump shared a video on Twitter where Nancy Pelosi was bragging about her ice cream. The spokesperson said that rather than “trying to distract and divide, the President should focus on the public health crisis in front of him.”
The exchange started after President Trump shared a tweet from Charlie Kirk, President of Turning Point USA. In the tweet was a video from an appearance of Speaker Pelosi on a late night TV show with James Corden. The video and tweet can be seen below.

In the video, taken at Pelosi’s multi-million dollar home, Pelosi talks about her chocolate and things she has done at home since being home. As a reminder, Pelosi lives in San Francisco, roughly 2800 miles from Washington, DC. Which is where President Trump is at, trying to get additional funds added for the Paycheck Protection Program.
The program, which ran out of funds on Thursday, is a primary source of funding for many small businesses around the country during the shut downs. Democrats have continued to argue against additional funding in support of additional restrictions on funds that favor many of the groups they want to pander to. Now, millions of Americans are left wondering what will happen as they no longer have expected funds coming from the program.
After learning of Pelosi’s love of ice cream, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) both made additional offers to Pelosi. All that she has to do to receive them is to add additional funding for small businesses through the program.

The issue is that Pelosi and Congress are out of session. The House is not scheduled to return to a pro forma session until Tuesday morning. The Senate is scheduled to return to a pro forma session on Monday afternoon. Neither session is expected to produce any results for helping Americans.
According to the ice cream maker’s website, the pints of ice cream that Speaker Pelosi is stocked up on are approximately $12 each. This doesn’t count the delivery fee, taxes or any surcharges. Yes, Speaker Pelosi was bragging about having around $200 worth of ice cream in her freezer. Just one of her freezers mind you, as she has another nearby.
While she has hundreds of dollars to blow on ice cream, real American workers are struggling. President Trump has called on Congress to act. The Republicans want to act, but the Democrats are holding Americans hostage. All while Nancy Pelosi is sitting back eating her gourmet ice cream. It’s absolutely sickening.
