Charlotte, N.C. – On Thursday, President Trump made remarks in his press conference that have shed the light on a major issue in America. What has happened to common sense? By now, you have probably heard of the comments, but this is getting out of hand.
His comments were in reference to potential injection of disinfectant and the use of UV light to eliminate the coronavirus. According to the White House official transcript, here’s the exact statement.
Right. And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning. Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that.
Most anyone with common sense would realize that you cannot inject disinfectant into your body. You should not ingest it, inhale it or any other thing. President Trump was clearly referencing that they are trying to think outside the box.
Apparently, this was such a big issue that CNN had to do an entire fact check of it. They wanted to determine if he was serious about it, which their fact check determined he was. But of course it did.
Dr. Deborah Birx said she is bothered by the media’s infatuation with the subject. As she indicates, this does nothing to help get information to people. It sure has gotten out of hand.
It started with Lysol feeling the need to distribute a notice. They said that you should not inject or ingest their product. They are simply trying to avoid a lawsuit I am certain. Yet, it highlights the absolute plight of our society.
It continued on Sunday as the governors of Michigan and Maryland spoke out on the matter. Both said that calls to their state health departments asking if it was safe or appropriate to use those products by injecting or ingesting. According to the Vox story, people take things that pop into his head seriously.
Is the issue that they take everything he says seriously or that people are willing to believe anything? Do we really live in a society that lacks the common sense to make a logical decision?
It’s obvious that we do. Remember the two individuals that took the chloroquine phosphate out in Arizona last month to self medicate for the coronavirus?
Merriam-Webster’s dictionary defines common sense as “sound and prudent judgment based on a simple perception of the situation or facts.” Each and every time these situations happen, it simply amazes me. It seems as if people want to live their lives without any responsibility or rational thought, relying on others for everything.
But it really shouldn’t surprise us given the current state of our country. Support of Democratic Socialism is on the rise, where people favor government control versus personal freedom. Their role models, such as Bernie Sanders (I, Vt) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D, Ny) have instilled a mentality of our way or no way. Their ideas of government control eliminate the need for free thinking.
The truth is that no one wants to understand the facts or analyze the situation. They simply want someone to tell them what they want to hear or what they should do. As is the case with these socialists.
Maybe it was not the best situation for President Trump to say the things he did. It’s obvious that he wanted to show the country they are looking at any available options for dealing with coronavirus. But that’s not what these liberals understood.
The followers of these socialists and the liberal media do not care about facts or initiative. They only care about their feelings. If we do not have some form of a return to common sense, our society is doomed.
