Washington, DC – On Tuesday, Joe Biden indicated that there is no shortage of food in the United States. He said that the issue is not food, but leadership. Americans across the country would disagree as supply, and purchase limits continue to persist.
Biden made the comments in a Yahoo News virtual town hall on Tuesday. There are two significant issues with Biden’s statements that must be looked at.
First, he ignores the fact that Americans across the country are facing food supply issues. News outlets across the country have documented this. The USA Today, CNBC, and even liberal outlet Vox have all covered the shortage. Rather than be concerned about the food shortages, Biden used the opportunity to attack and say that President Trump is failing to lead.
Which brings us to the second portion of his comments that are concerning. Rather than being concerned about the food shortages, he suggests that food stamps will solve the food supply shortages. He made comments that the cuts to the SNAP food stamps program was causing issues.
The truth is that the Trump administration delayed the work restrictions on the SNAP program amid the pandemic. But Biden did not share this truth. He spread the lie that the cuts were still coming amid the crisis.
As Americans across the country face food shortages, is Biden suggesting that food stamps will solve the problem? The SNAP program does nothing to secure the food supply. The food supply is suffering as a result of the coronavirus stay orders, not from a lack of food stamps.
This continues to highlight that Biden is out of touch with America. The entire Democratic Party is out of touch with America. Rather than looking at the real issues, they are more focused on expanding socialist programs.
The Democrats are so focused on their hatred of President Trump. Americans are out of work and being forced to wait in line and search for necessary food and supplies because of these stay orders. Rather than trying to get our country back open safely, they want more socialism!
If Americans are paying attention, they will pick up on these small details. Biden is not interested in how everyday Americans are struggling. He just wants you to hate President Trump.
