Milwaukee, WI – Across the country, the mainstream media continues to push their fear narrative around the coronavirus. For MSNBC, they have been caught in the act.
Reporter Cal Perry was on location in Lake Geneva, WI, where he was asked if people simply did not care about their health. The camera was showing people going around without masks and seemingly oblivious to personal protective equipment. A masked Perry said that no one seemed to care.
Unfortunately for Perry, a bystander was also filming from another perspective. While Perry looked great in his mask on camera, his film crew was not wearing the masks that the team was advocating for. You can see both the MSNBC video and the bystander video here.
This comes after the media continues their assault on President Trump for not wearing a mask. NPR ran this article earlier in the month attacking both Trump and VP Mike Pence for not wearing masks and setting an example.
The media also quickly jumped onto President Trump over Memorial Day. Joe Biden appeared for an event and wore a mask at the event. President Trump also appeared at an event, but chose not to wear a mask. Amid comments that were made, the media took the chance to criticize Trump yet again.
The media often cites the CDC guidance for mask usage. The official guidance states that masks are recommended for places in which social distancing is unable to be maintained. It’s not required to be outside or even out of your home.
The left treats this as if a mask is a requirement. I am not saying that I disagree with masks. If you are in an area that you cannot properly social distance, I have no issue if you choose to wear a mask. I also have no problem if you decide not to wear a mask, provided again that appropriate social distancing can be maintained.
It’s time for the media to stop playing games with the American people. A recent Gallup poll shows that people are not interested in downplaying the virus or overhyping the virus. They want the actual truth.
Except the truth is rather challenging to find. As we shared the CDC guidelines above, that is the basic truth. We aren’t sharing that you must wear a mask, or should wear a mask, or shouldn’t wear a mask. We are merely telling you the guidelines. You should be able to decide for yourself what you choose is appropriate.
The media would instead frame that narrative and have you believe that the mask is mandatory. Anyone not following that guideline is crazy until it is proven that they are just as guilty as anyone else.
