Charlotte, NC – On Monday, President Trump made remarks from the Rose Garden to announce measures that he would be taking to immediately stop the violence across the country. He called out the damage and destruction of the domestic terrorists in the cities. He said that the violence must immediately stop.
Trump announced that he has suggested to each Governor to utilize the National Guard to restore order and peace in the cities. He said that he was deploying federal troops to Washington, DC, to stop the violence in the city. President Trump took a hardline stance in his comment.
He also spoke clearly to leadership around the country. If those in leadership are not willing to take action to protect Americans and restore law and order, he will take action. Trump was very clear; the violence must stop immediately.
Trump began his comments talking about the death of George Floyd and how it was unnecessary and tragic. He said that he was committed to assuring justice was served in the case.
After the announcement of the measures, Trump said the law would be strictly enforced. He announced that curfew measures would be enforced and violators prosecuted. It is for certain; there is no questioning where President Trump stands on the violence.
Violent riots have been happening around the country since the death of George Floyd one week ago. Additional deaths have occurred, and businesses and families are suffering due to unsafe conditions in neighborhoods around the country.
The media will certainly try to attack President Trump due to his hard-line stance against the violence. Americans should rest assured that President Trump is not playing with these violent rioters. He is serious about protecting Americans.
