Washington, DC — Earlier this week, the Democrats wrapped up their national convention. In most election cycles, as the party completes its national convention, they typically see a bump in polling for their candidate. With the coronavirus pandemic changing how the conventions are conducted, many wonder what might happen this year.
The mainstream media has already set out to make excuses as to why Joe Biden may not see a campaign bump this year following the convention. In a recent article, Politico gave a variety of reasons that there may not be a bump in the election.
One suggestion was that many people are already locked into a candidate. Another is that the conventions are so close together. Yet another suggestion is that Biden is already leading so it would be tough for him to get a bounce following the convention. You see the futility of some of these arguments.
The mainstream media and Democrats can make all the excuses they want as part of their joint partnership venture to elect Joe Biden. If their coordinated effort fails to bring a post-convention bump, they do not have to look any further than their “highly acclaimed” Democratic National Convention.
Throughout the week, Democrats continued the same set of stories that have got us to this part. The same stories that have dominated the news headlines and the stories that the mainstream media cannot get enough of. Their proposition was simple, President Trump is a bad bad man.
In each speech and presentation, the “vision” that was presented for America was the same broken record. We need equality across the country, we need to eliminate systemic racism, and we are fighting for the soul of our country. No, they did not want to talk about actual policies.
They ignored their policy for raising taxes. They ignored the proposals for open borders. They ignored defunding the police and the backing of Black Lives Matter. They conveniently left out the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and universal basic income. They ignored all the socialist plans that they have.
This was no mistake. They knew if they talked about the real plans they have for the country, they would never win this election. They knew that they would lose the moderate and independent vote if those voters realized they were going to lose their freedoms under a President Joe Biden.
They conveniently hid their agenda behind a few short words in Biden’s speech. They hid their plans inside a party platform that they never discussed. They decided it was best to hide from Americans, rather than tell them the truth.
The reason they will not see a post-convention bump is simple. They hid from Americans and hid from the truth. They knew that a post-convention bump was not possible for a platform that is filled with a socialist agenda.
