Charlotte, NC — President Donald Trump nominated Amy Coney Barrett on Saturday to the Supreme Court. She would fill the seat vacated by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Barrett, 48, has been on Trump’s shortlist for the Supreme Court for quite some time.
Even as the Barrett nomination was rumored, the left started their attacks on her person. One writer suggested that Amy Coney Barrett was making working moms look bad. It’s an odd statement from the left who claims to fight for women to be equal to men in high positions. I am sure it has nothing to do with the fact she is conservative.
In another attack, they started going after her for her adoptions as well. John Brougher said that he needed more detail on the adoptions because what he saw in the adoptions was deeply concerning. Not that the woman made a huge sacrifice to adopt two children from Haiti and give them an amazing life here in the United States, but he wants to attack her for being a loving mother.
These pathetic attacks on her person were absolutely sickening and it appears that mainstream Democrats have decided to save their efforts on those personal attributes until the nomination hearing. They chose instead to go after Barrett for the fear of what she may do.
Why did they choose the fear of the unknown? Because that is all they can attack her for. She is a devout Catholic. To attack her for her faith would be a horrible look for Democrats before the election. They would struggle to attack her for being a mean person since she’s proven multiple times she is far from such a person.
To attack her for her motherhood, that’s also a horrible look for Democrats. You also cannot attack her for not being a working mother, a suburban conservative, or any of the racist or bigoted titles that the left typically likes to go after. She’s also been in a committed marriage for over 20 years.
Instead, Democratic leaders decided to go after her for the fear of the unknown. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) decided to go after Barrett for what she would potentially do to the Affordable Care Act. In her comments, Pelosi made the following statement:
Everything hangs in the balance with this nomination: a woman’s constitutional right to make her own medical decisions about her own body, the right of LGBTQ Americans to marry who they love, the right of workers to organize and collectively bargain for fair wages, the future of our planet and environmental protections, voting rights and the right of every American to have a voice in our democracy.”
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) also had comments about the Barrett nomination. In his statement, Schumer said that a vote for Barrett was a vote to eliminate healthcare for Americans in the middle of a pandemic. Again, more fear-mongering tactics from the Democrats over the unknown.
The left will continue to drive this fear narrative, all the way to the hearings on the nomination. The reason is that to attack this woman over anything else will be an absolutely devastating cause facing the election.
I fully expect the gloves to come off at the nomination hearing, however. The Democrats will get dirty and the hearing will get ugly. They proved this during the Kavanaugh hearings and this will be no different.

I have read your article carefully and I agree with you very much. This has provided a great help for my thesis writing, and I will seriously improve it. However, I don’t know much about a certain place. Can you help me?
