Charlotte, NC — During a recent YouTube video, attorney, second amendment advocate, and former NRA spokesman Colion Noir gave a list of 5 reasons why people should buy a gun in advance of the 2020 election. We at The Liberty Loft have an obvious affinity for the 1st amendment but we are defenders of the 2nd amendment, too. We are all gun owners and firearm enthusiasts.
Due to the insanity of 2020, people who have never had a desire to shoot a gun much less own one now own one or even multiple guns. I don’t blame them! As a matter of fact, I applaud them. However, it is imperative that everyone who purchases a gun must put the time in to learn its functions and, most importantly, take the time to learn gun safety and get training.
There are many out there who have not yet bought a gun and it’s time to act on it if you’ve thought about it previously. If you haven’t bought a gun, this is a mistake. Unless you’re a psycho or can’t legally own a gun, these are the 5 reasons why you should buy one before the 2020 election.
Reason 1: Trump Might Win
To a lot of people on both sides, the 2020 election is not a Right vs. Left debate but rather Good vs. Evil depending on which side you’re on. Because of this, we’ve seen over the last year there’s a good chance there will be violence and civil unrest if President Trump wins reelection.
There are groups of people out there who wrongly think the president is a fascist and will be in power forever and the world will come to an end if you don’t vote him out of office. And if he does win, these same people believe they will have to assert their beliefs through violence.
Considering all of this, it only makes sense that you have a gun to protect you, your family, and your home in the event things do get really bad and the police can’t come and help you as we have seen time and time again this year in major US cities who have dealt with months and months of violent riots.
Reason 2: Biden Might Win
As I have previously reported, if Joe Biden wins the price of guns are going to skyrocket over night. And because everyone will be trying to buy guns at one time, the supply of guns will dry up just as fast. Some don’t like hearing this but Joe Biden is anti-gun and, just like court packing, he doesn’t come out and definitively say it. He dances around it.
Joe has also been very direct with people who dare to engage with him on the issues and ask hear his stance on certain issues. You can see examples of this here, here, and here.
Biden wants to reinstate the Assault Weapons Ban. Many people hope that if he wins he will try and reinstate this disastrous policy, there will be a grandfather clause that lets you keep whatever guns you own before the ban passes. Whether this is true or not is irrelevant because people will flock to their chosen gun stores and buy any and every gun they can get their hands on in hopes that in future assault weapons ban will include a grandfather clause.
If you wait until after the election to buy a gun, you’re going to be paying an arm and a leg for that gun. Moreover, you might not be able to find any guns to buy or ammo for said gun.
Reason 3: Democrats Might Flip the Senate
Many people don’t like hearing this, but the most anti-second amendment political party in America is the Democratic Party. This isn’t bias but a statement of fact. No political party pushes gun control more like the Democrat party.
At present, the Democrats hold the majority in the House and Republicans hold the majority in the Senate. Don’t not make the mistake that the Senate can’t easily be flipped. Four seats is all that separates us from the most anti-gun party from passing crippling gun control laws they’ve been trying to pass for decades.
Senate Democrats have longed to reinstate the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban and, if they were ever in a situation or under the persuasion of ‘truth’ serum, they want to ban guns completely! Senator Dianne Feinstein discussed this years ago.
Moreover, there’s a great chance they will get rid of the filibuster. This means they would only need a simple majority to pass whatever gun control law they want. Should the Democrats have the majority in both the House and the Senate, then the United States of America will become California. Waiting periods, limits on ammo and the types of guns you can buy, and a 10-day waiting period on being able to purchase a gun from a list of about 500 guns you’ll now only be allowed to buy.
Reason 4: Because You Lived During 2020
On December 31, 2019, while everyone was making New Year’s Resolutions, 2020 was waiting in the depths of hell ready to wreak complete and utter having on the US and the rest of the world. Thanks, China! On January 1, 2020, it’s as if a switch was flipped unleashing complete and utter chaos! Seemingly over night, the world was in a tailspin.
If there is one thing we’ve all learned from 2020, is that your world can literally be turned upside down in the blink of an eye! Knowing this alone should be enough to motivate you into going out and buying a gun, learn to use it safely, and using it competently. Because if you keep waiting, putting it off, and waiting until you absolutely need it; it’ll likely be too late!
Reason 5: It’s Your Responsibility
It is your responsibility to keep yourself and the people you love and cherish safe to the best of your ability. Therefore, it is your responsibility to have the best tool to keep you and your loved ones safe. That tool is a gun!
I get it. Some of you, your family, and friends might be ideologically opposed to guns. However, if I’m going to be ‘real’ with you and brutally honest…nobody gives a crap!
Protect your family! We live in a crazy and dangerous world with crazy people who don’t care at all about laws and will do anything to hurt you and others for their personal gain. Moreover, those same crazy people don’t give two craps about your desire for “commonsense gun laws.”
Commonsense says criminals have gun and are intent on doing bad things; therefore you should too! The government has guns and you should, too! So, yes! You should go out and buy a gun before the 2020 elections because it’s your responsibility. Besides, there are over 400 million guns in this country. Do you really want to be the only person without a gun?
You’d be foolish not to have one!
However, the most important lesson of this entire article is safety and get training! Please, please, please ensure that you know the universal gun safety rules and do a deep dive on firearm training.
Because the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed wasn’t a suggestion It was a directive.
