Albany, N.Y. – Hillary Clinton cannot help to continue her political hypocrisy. This time, the carpetbagging ex-Senator from New York and failed 2016 presidential candidate has decided that her hatred for the Electoral College wasn’t strong enough to keep her from being a part of it.
On Wednesday, despite her post-2016 whining about how the Electoral College cost her the presidency, Clinton said that she will be a member of the Electoral College for New York this year and that she plans to vote against President Trump.
The former New York senator won the popular vote but lost the Electoral College to Trump in 2016, and supports abolishing the institution.
In a 2017 interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Clinton stated, “I think it [Electoral College] needs to be eliminated. “I’d like to see us move beyond it, yes.,” Clinton said. Clinton also previously said, “We should respect the will of the people, and to me, that means it’s time to do away with the Electoral College and move to the popular election of our president.”
It would appear that Clinton’s idea of moving beyond “it” means becoming a part of “it.” Clinton will now cast one of New York’s 29 electoral votes when the 538-member body gathers in December to formalize the Nov. 3 election results.
No one is shocked by Hillary Clinton’s continued participation in any political practice that balks against Donald Trump. The complete disdain that she and others within the Democratic Party have for out sitting president is on full display daily.
Hillary Clinton has never cared for the sanctity of our nation’s democratic system. When she was shocked by her defeat in 2016, Clinton took her chilled celebratory champagne and immediately called for a complete overhaul of our nation’s election process.
And now, she becomes a part of it – clearly an indication that she and her pull-along posse of pandering liberal politicians can somehow influence the 2020 Election, dump Trump, and bounce Biden from the basement to behind the Resolute desk.
