Atlanta, GA — The Trump campaign has continued its attacks on voter fraud across the country as Trump continues to fight for the White House. Many have already given in, saying that Joe Biden has won and that Trump should simply move on. Georgia has become one of the focus points for all.
Recent evidence produced by the Trump administration seemed to show election fraud happening in Georgia. It’s a claim that Trump’s attorneys have made across many states. The video evidence was enough to cause Governor Kemp to give pause and demand a signature audit.
While he demanded the audit, he has continued to refuse to hold a special session of the Georgia legislature to address voting issues. Other key leaders in the state have spoken out as well. They made rounds in the Sunday media circuit to attack those who question election results.
The Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger called questioning the election irrational and angry behavior. He then went on to say that the actions were unpatriotic. He has previously referred to other matters as unpatriotic after the election as well.
The Lt. Governor of Georgia has also attacked Trump and his attorneys. On CNN, he said that the attacks were concerning and that the accusations by Trump and his attorneys were baseless and spreading misinformation. He said that the election in Georgia was fair and that Biden has won the state.
After Trump pressured Georgia's governor to help overturn Biden's win in the state, Republican Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan says the President "did not win the state of Georgia": "As the lieutenant governor and a Georgian, I'm proud that we can see that this election was fair" #CNNSOTU pic.twitter.com/kxqFtRRGp2

These officials in Georgia are the most vocal about the election case and President Trump. Many other Republicans have avoided the conversation about election fraud. Yet, the concerning thing is that they are calling the actions unpatriotic.
How is it unpatriotic for someone to demand that their ability to have a fair and honest election be protected? Our country was founded on the ability for someone to know that their voice matters. In the evidence that has been produced, there are some serious questions about the election and fraud that took place.
Especially in Georgia, a state that was separated by so few votes. A state where a Democrat has not won since 1992. Even the extremely popular Barack Obama did not win the state in either election.
Are we to seriously believe that Joe Biden was that much more popular than Barack Obama? I do not believe that for one second. I am aware that Joe Biden is a well-known name, but he was far from exciting and motivating.
For someone to ask that their rights are protected and assured is far from unpatriotic. For far too long, Americans have not asked enough questions of their politicians and government. That is how we got to this point in our country.
The lack of accountability of elected officials gave rise to President Donald Trump and the movement to support him. Americans are not overlooking the corruption and the lies that they are being told. It’s time to stop calling it unpatriotic and realize that as an elected official, it is your responsibility to do what is asked.
