Atlanta, GA — In a new report, NBC News is sharing that money is becoming an issue for Georgia Senate candidates. Both Ossoff and Warnock’s campaigns are saying that significant funds are needed. This comes after the most recent campaign finance reports show that both candidates outraised their opponents in the most recent month.
The concern is not on the ability to fundraise directly, but rather on the outside groups that are spending money. It seems they have every reason to be concerned.
The same NBC News report shares that Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer (D-Ny) has quit contacting donors for the candidates in the race. A spokesperson denied the report. While Schumer may have raised funds for them in the past, the report is that he is concerned about the future and the relationships he has with donors.
Schumer has every right to be concerned.
The latest poll data at Real Clear Politics has the race neck and neck for both seats. It shows the races separated by 1-2 points, a similar margin that many pollsters reported in races across the country before the American people proved their data wrong.
The same polls had Sen. Thom Tillis losing in North Carolina, Jonie Earnst losing in Iowa, and Gary Peters winning by 5-7 points in Michigan. Both Republicans won and Peters won only by just over 1 point. The truth is the polls were significantly wrong about how motivated Republican voters were in the election.
In the initial results in Georgia, Perdue beat Ossoff by nearly 100,000 votes. In the other race, a race that saw the Republican vote split between Loeffler and Rep. Doug Collins, Warnock garnered 1.6 million votes. If you combine the Republican vote, Warnock would have lost by half a million votes in the race.
Warnock has proven himself to be an absolute radical. Ossoff is not much better. Being radical may win an election in some areas. For example, if this was in NY’s 14th congressional district, Michigan’s 13th congressional district, or Minnesota’s 5th congressional district, this very well may be over.
Warnock’s radical agenda is exactly the reason that Democrats fear Rep’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, or Ilhan Omar trying to run for a seat out of their congressional districts. Their radical agenda does not sit well with Democrats as a whole. That is exactly why Chuck Schumer has stopped fundraising.
A radical agenda is not going to work in Georgia. The Democrats will blame the loss on the lack of money and many other reasons. The real reason they are going to lose these Senate races is the radical agenda.
Georgia has been a red state for several years now and will again be red this time as it votes for control of the Senate. While the argument is that Biden won the state, there are a lot of discrepancies as we think about the suitcases of ballots being unloaded. Georgia will not fail the American people and will give control of the Senate back to Republicans.
