Charlotte, NC — In a statement released just prior to the joint session of Congress, Vice President Mike Pence confirmed that he will not stand in the way of confirming electors today. This defeats the efforts to challenge the election and Joe Biden will be confirmed President.
In his letter, Pence said, “It is my considered judgement that my oath to support and defend the Constitution constrains me from claiming unilateral authority to determine which electoral votes should be counted and which should not.”
The three page letter was released while President Trump was speaking at a rally just outside the Capitol building where Pence was set to lead the session. Trump called on Pence to “stand up for the good of our Constitution” in his remarks. He continued that he would be very disappointed if he did not.
The letter was posted to Pence’s Twitter account and is available to read in its entirety.

Republicans did follow through on their threats to challenge the election, but the challenges will fail due to the Democrats having a majority in the Senate. Now, America faces the real test as we stare down the barrel of socialism.
Democrats have a majority in both chambers for the first time in over a decade. They have made promises to address matters such as massive spending through another coronavirus relief plan, the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, gun control legislation, and so much more.
Conservatives across the country are in a difficult place. We are facing a split party and are in the minority in both chambers. There is literally nothing that can be done in Congress to stop the Democrats and their goals.
The blame game will start in the next few hours. Everyone will begin to blame President Trump for the division in the party, for losing the Georgia elections, and start fighting for prominent positions as the party searches for leadership.
Do not expect President Trump to wander too far away, however. Many suspect he will run for office again in 2024, but he is expected to have competition.
Many will begin to release their ideas of what should be done in the next few hours as well. You will hear some call for a civil war. Others will call for a third party. Before I start sharing opinions, I am suggesting we all take a few moments to pray. Now, more than ever, we need God’s guidance and help in our nation.
