Washington, DC — Social media giants are at it again, blocking and removing content from President Donald Trump. Twitter removed three tweets from President Donald Trump on Wednesday afternoon and then placed a suspension on his account. Posts removed were Trump’s request for rioters to leave the Capitol and return home.

According to NBC News, Twitter also released that any further violations would result in a permanent suspension of the account. It has been widely speculated that the social media outlet would ban President Donald Trump as soon as he left office.

Facebook and YouTube have also removed the video that President Donald Trump had posted. In it’s comments on the removal, YouTube said Trump’s video violated, “policies regarding content that alleges widespread fraud or errors changed the outcome.”

Facebook released a much more lengthy statement. The company released the following:

“The violent protests in the Capitol today are a disgrace. We prohibit incitement and calls for violence on our platform. We are actively reviewing and removing any content that breaks these rules.”

The move was celebrated by most on the left as the proper move. The social media organizations have refrained from blocking or banning the President in the past, choosing to place labels and warnings on his posts instead.

President Donald Trump did not condone the violence that occurred in Washington, DC today. He asked protesters multiple times to remain peaceful. While social media giants may not agree, President Donald Trump and millions of his dedicated supporters believe that election fraud occurred and have been demanding an appropriate investigation into it.

Instead, most elected leaders have advised them to simply accept the results and move on. The violence erupted as Congress had met to certify the Electoral College results and shortly after Vice President Mike Pence announced that he would not overturn the election unilaterally.
