Charlotte, NC — At a meeting of the National Press Club on Tuesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo shared that former President Barack Obama helped Iran find refuge in Iran. This came about as a result of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, a deal that Joe Biden has said he is determined to reenter once he takes the White House.
The Washington Free Beacon reports that Pompeo confirmed the death of Al-Qaeda leader Abu Muhammad al-Masri last year in Tehran. He continued with comments and shared, “Iran decided to allow al Qaeda to establish a new operational headquarters, on the condition that al Qaeda operatives inside abide by the regime’s rules.”
Al-Qaeda had operated in Afghanistan where it planned and coordinated the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. Pompeo shared that they are virtually nonexistent in Afghanistan now and are based in Iran. This gives Al-Qaeda a lot of support from a corrupt regime.
Additional reports were shared that Tehran is helping Al-Qaeda fundraise, communicate, obtain necessary documents, and direct terror operations. It also gives Al-Qaeda access to any nuclear weapons that Iran may have to potentially use in an attack as well.
It’s obvious that Iran used the $1.7 billion that it received from former President Barack Obama to invest in establishing a larger terror network. Obama said that the Iran nuclear deal would make the world, and America, safer. Instead, it has created the largest terrorism sponsor in the world.
Pompeo shared that the US is vulnerable to Al-Qaeda in Iran because of the lack of intelligence assets in the country. As the group plans its next attack, we have to wonder will Joe Biden be the one helping finance it.
