Charlotte, NC — Yesterday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi indicated additional security for those in Congress was necessary, but only because she was ‘triggered’ into thinking this action was warranted.
The Daily Caller reported that the California congresswoman announced she would be working on a way to beef up security to protect her colleagues from their gun-toting fellow members of Congress.
For Democrats, politics never stops.
Pelosi’s rationale went like this:
“I do believe — and I have said this all along — that we will probably need…more security for members when the enemy is within the House of Representatives, a threat that members are concerned about in addition to what is happening outside.”
Apparently, the ‘distinguished’ speaker believes Congress is has descended into an all about Hunger Games scenario saying,
“It means that we have members of Congress that want to bring guns on the floor and have threatened violence on other members of Congress.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said lawmakers would likely need more funding for security to protect them not just from outside threats, but also potentially from their own colleagues, whom she described as ‘the enemy within’ https://t.co/aPSyvvEMfO pic.twitter.com/jRYqHMekdz

This is obviously nuts but she decided it was necessary to schedule a meeting with Lt. General Russel Honoré to work on a plan. However, Nutty Nancy isn’t alone in this as over 30 members of the House drafted a letter pushing her to obtain additional protection. Presumably, the way she and her colleagues will defend themselves against guns…is with guns.
In typical elitist fashion, they’ll be paying other people to carry ’em.
Never one to squander a good opportunity to project her insane ideas onto former president Trump, Nancy took the opportunity to attack him while ignorantly calling him insurrectionist.
“This is very, very important. It shouldn’t be. It shouldn’t be that, not only is the President of the United States inciting an insurrection, but keeps fanning the flame, endangering the security of members of Congress to the point that they’re even concerned about members in the House of Representatives being a danger to them.”
The Daily Caller mentioned that Republican Maryland Congressman Andy Harris was in possession with a firearm as he attempted to reach the House Chamber through a metal detector. The HuffPost reported last week. Harris was prohibited from entering, and the officer with the metal detector indicated the matter to a security guard.
For Republican North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn, evacuation on January 6 was performed while packing heat. The Smoky Mountain News reported the following:
“We were starting to be evacuated, and the evacuation route is downstairs. Working with Capitol police, we figured out a way…we could make that more inclusive of the members who have disability problems. I’ve got to hand it to fellow North Carolina congressmen Ted Budd and Richard Hudson. They really helped me. They got me down some steps. They moved a lot of the furniture that was used to barricade different doors so I could get through.
“But because I had to take another route, we didn’t have our Capitol police escort. So there were multiple times we needed to change the route we were taking just to be safe. Fortunately, I was armed, so we would have been able to protect ourselves.”
Millions of Americans often do and see others carrying a Glock. In fact, there are places in this country were a restaurant manager might open-carry while at work, but if you go to work doing the same in New York, then you’ve likely served your last paella or risotto. Sadly, if you identify more with the former rather than the latter then you’re obviously the problem and you must be dealt with accordingly.
Reuters reported on the alleged threat:
“Pelosi did not name names, but earlier in her press conference was asked about newly-elected Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia, who has come under scrutiny this week for online comments she posted before taking office supporting violence against Democrats, including Pelosi. Greene is the first member of Congress to have openly expressed support for the Q-anon conspiracy theory…”
To whatever degree Nancy’s not a fan of Majorie, the feeling appears mutual:
The Republican used the edict to make a point but Twitter executed their ‘independent’ fact checkers to correct her.
Statements she purportedly made about school shootings — Nancy questioned GOP brass for “assigning her to the education committee”:
“What I’m concerned about is the Republican leadership in the House of Representatives… What could they be thinking? Or is thinking too generous a word for what they might be doing?”
