Charlotte, NC — In public statements on Wednesday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said that he did not intend to hurt anyone with his actions amid three sexual harassment accusations. He said that he never touched anyone inappropriately and that he wanted New Yorkers to await the facts of the case before making their decisions about him.
You can view the comments by the Governor in the video below.
Cuomo rejected the calls for him to resign saying that he was not going to resign amid the calls from politicians. He said that the people of New York elected him and that was his focus.
Of course, the comments about the touching seem incorrect as photos have surfaced of one of the claims showing him grabbing a woman in the face who he was not in an intimate relationship with. Just because you did not intend to hurt someone is not an excuse for sexual harassment either.
The governor shows no remorse amid his actions where there is clear supporting evidence of his actions. The governor has previously supported measures to block and remove people from office amid allegations such as these.
