Charlotte, NC — While former President Donald Trump did not officially declare he was running at the recent CPAC event, he did share that he is strongly considering it. It’s something that everyone has expected. Trump continues to maintain that he won the 2020 election and even said that he would beat the Democrats a third time in 2024 if he ran.
He had the overwhelming majority of support of those who attended CPAC and other recent polls show that the President is the clear front-runner if he were to run. No other candidates have declared to run and it appears that many would decline to run against Trump if he were to run. Another recent poll says that the President has the support of nearly 75% of likely GOP voters if he wanted to run.
Rasmussen Reports, Feb 18, 2021: "73% of likely GOP voters say Trump is still the kind of leader the Republican Party needs."

So while the main portion of the ticket may not change, there is one change that appears possible. According to Bloomberg, Trump is considering replacing former Vice President Mike Pence as his running mate.
Trump was obviously upset that Pence did not overturn the Electoral College results in the 2020 election amid the chaos at the US Capitol. Many reports have shared that Trump and Pence have spoken since the election and have repaired any strained relationship. This is the latest report that indicates that Trump could possibly still be upset with how things went.
Pence recently broke his silence with an op-ed published to The Daily Signal. Pence shared that election security is crucial for our nation and that the Democrats proposed HR 1 would be detrimental to national elections and security. Pence also shared the same concerns that Republicans have been sharing regarding mail-in voting and changes to voting laws and why investigating those is so important.
According to Jason Miller, a former Trump adviser, the story is nothing but fake news. Miller says that no such conversations are happening.

There certainly is no official statement or indication that this is the truth, but it does raise the question if Trump should consider replacing Pence on the ticket. Pence had been a loyal supporter of the President from day one and was a sound conservative that appealed to the extremely conservative right.
There has been speculation that a couple of governors could be in line to the White House if Trump were not to run. Could those same names be entered here if Pence was not asked to be Trump’s running mate, or declined the offer?
One is Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, who was the runner-up to President Donald Trump in the CPAC poll. Another is Gov. Kristi Noem of South Dakota, who was immediately following DeSantis. Both have been popular following their handling of the coronavirus pandemic in their states. Each would bring strengths to the presidential ticket if they were on it as a front-runner or as a running mate.
Replacing Pence would be a big decision and speak volumes about the relationship of the former US leaders. Pence was faithful to Trump throughout the term, even amid the calls to remove and replace Trump. While many Trump supporters were frustrated with his decision not to overturn the election, it seemed highly unlikely he would ever consider a different option. Pence was faithful to Trump, is well respected, and would still bring a strong conservative to the 2024 ticket.
No matter the situation, the key is that America will need to return to what made our country great once again in 2024. Joe Biden and the Democrats are on a mission to destroy our country and the next President will need to be prepared to take immediate action to save our nation once again.
