The Only Thing Going Down Like the Titanic is Rep. Kinzinger’s Political Career

Charlotte, NC — Over the weekend, Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) made radical left-wing media outlets excited with his comments. Appearing on the CBS show Face the Nation, he was speaking on the latest to remove Liz Cheney (R-WY) from her leadership position. He started out by saying that Liz Cheney was saying what House leader Kevin McCarthy was saying after the events in January at the Capitol but was saying these things consistently. He then transitioned and gave the radical outlets the sound bite they were looking for.

He said that the Republican party was like the Titanic. He said that the Republican party had a band playing on the deck saying everything is fine, while Trump is running around looking for a lifeboat. He said that attempting to attack Cheney and remove her from her post just 4 months after the events was ridiculous.

He continued with the talk of Trump and insurrection, which has been proven countless times as ridiculous and baseless. Yet, the RINO’s, like Kinzinger, want to continue to push that Trump is the problem in DC. The problem in DC is not Trump, but the lack of representation of the will of the American people. You can see Kinzinger’s comments in the video below.

Kinzinger has held to this viewpoint for the past few months, even after backlash from his family and the district he represents. After his vote to impeach Trump, he was immediately met with a new challenger for his seat for the 2022 election. That new challenger, Jack Lombardi, did not hide his feeling about Kinzinger’s comments on Sunday. He called on Kinzinger to swap his R for a D and move on.

Sell out Kinzinger called the Republican party a "sinking Titanic" today on @MeetThePress. @RepKinzinger just do it already!
Swap R for D and get on with it.

Kinzinger has said that he will back Cheney in any vote against her. He said that to vote for Donald Trump and his “big lie” that it will hurt the Republican Party in the long run based on history. You can see his comments on this below.

.@RepKinzinger: "Obviously I'll vote for Liz [Cheney] and I hope there are enough people to retain her… I'm going to fight as hard as I can to save the party, but the party's not just me." https://t.co/tPWPNIpSJ4 pic.twitter.com/D8DgoUzvg4

Apparently, Kinzinger does not realize that the only thing that is going down like the Titanic are the RINO’s and his political career. If anyone is paying attention, it is clear that the movement is not in his favor and that he is aligning himself with the losing side.

Poll numbers immediately following the events at the Capitol were telling the story from the beginning. Of those polled, 80% of Trump voters and 76% of Republicans said they would not vote for someone who voted to impeach President Donald Trump. Kinzinger and Cheney both find themselves on that list. The chances of Kinzinger pulling off another election win, in the heavily blue state of Illinois, just went out the window.

You also have the movement against other RINO’s. For example, take the recent booing of Mitt Romney. The once extremely popular Senator from Utah was booed by the party at a recent speaking event. It’s hard to fathom that this man was the Republican nominee almost 10 years ago to face Barack Obama. This is the same action that will be taken against other RINO’s, just like Kinzinger. The people that supported the former President are not interested in fake conservatives that refuse to represent their viewpoints.

You also have to take a look at the continued election investigations that are going on. While many, like Kinzinger, want to act like nothing happened, there are a lot of questions surrounding the 2020 election that deserve answers. A forensic audit is underway in Arizona, which has garnered threatening letters from the Biden DOJ. The DOJ argues that the move to audit the election results is racist. But a failure to provide answers to the American people is an injustice.

Kinzinger argues that the movement behind former President Donald Trump will go away and the party will be left with nothing. He could be right. The movement behind Donald Trump may go away, but the movement will continue behind others who are willing to represent the will of the people. Americans are tired of politicians who claim to be fighting for the people, but instead are focused on how they can profit for themselves and their families in corrupt deals. Kinzinger believes that aligning himself with the RINO’s, like the Bush and Cheney families, will help him. Instead, he will find himself floating in frozen waters with no one to save him.
