Washington, DC — “The means of defense against foreign danger have always been the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans, it was a standing maxim to excite a war whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending have enslaved the people.”—James Madison, America’s fourth president and author of the Constitution.
Tucker Carlson has recently amplified the information from independent journalists who have provided ample evidence that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has engaged in shady activity with the use of informants and using entrapment schemes related to the January 6 riots, the so-called “insurrection” as deemed by the corporate press.
One of those journalists is Glenn Greenwald, who wrote a piece on how the FBI operated, based in part on reporting from Revolver News, regarding both January 6 and the supposed kidnapping plot last year of Michigan tyrant, or who others may call governor, Gretchen Whitmer.
“It seems extremely likely that the FBI had numerous ways to know of any organized plots regarding the January 6 riot (just as the U.S. intelligence community, by its admission, had ample advanced clues of the 9/11 attack but, according to their excuse, tragically failed to ‘connect the dots),” Greenwald wrote. “There is no doubt that the FBI has infiltrated at least some if not all of these groups — which it has been warning for years pose a grave national security threat — with informants and undercover spies. It is known that Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio has served as an FBI informant in the past, and the disrupted 2020 plot by Three Percenters members to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) was shaped and driven by what The Wall Street Journal reported were the FBI’s ‘undercover agents and confidential informants.”
As the media drives the narrative that we need to fear “domestic terrorists,” the political right is waking up to the abuses of the FBI and other federal law enforcement agencies that they’ve long cheered on. The left, which has long hated such agencies, is now the side cheering them on.
However, this left-right bickering seems grounded in the petty politics of the day and based on one’s either fealty for or hatred of Donald Trump. Those grounded in principles, though, should understand that the FBI and every other federal law enforcement agency pose a threat to every one of our liberties and are unconstitutional.
None of this is a new phenomenon for the FBI et al., these illegal and shameful tactics are the general rule for these federal law enforcement agencies. These agencies have a long history of lying and setting up boogeymen to fear, and they use that fear to expand their power and create security theater.
In 2011, Judge Andrew Napolitano wrote about the FBI bragging about foiling 17 terror plots since 9/11.
“What it will not tell you is that there have been twenty foiled plots, and of them, three were interrupted by members of the public. They created the seventeen that were interrupted by the feds. They all have a common and reprehensible thread. They were planned, plotted, controlled, and carried out by the federal government itself,” Napolitano wrote.
Remember the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013? Same story.
Russ Baker, an investigative journalist, wrote: “Amid the swirl of mysteries surrounding the alleged Boston bombers, one fact, barely touched upon in the mainstream U.S. media, stands out: There is a strong possibility that Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the older of the two brothers, was a double agent, perhaps recruited by the FBI.”
Of course, a 2014 report from the Director of National Intelligence proved Baker to be on the right track, but the official narrative carried on from the corporate media.
And don’t forget, it was a member of the public who caught the second bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, but the FBI and law enforcement took credit. After the bombing, the Boston people were further terrorized by their government, with heavily armed, militarized police going door-to-door. At the same time, the city was on a shelter-in-place order (something all Americans know very well over the last year). That show of force, the security theater, produced nothing. Private homeowner David Henneberry found Dzhokhar after the shelter-in-place was lifted by the way, who saw a loose tarp on his parked boat. But the FBI brazenly lied in its report and stated a “police investigation” by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority found Dzhokhar.
This is the history of these federal agencies. They are there to take power and rights away from the people, like J. Edgar Hoover and his vendetta against Martin Luther King Jr.
This year marked the 28th anniversary of the Waco, Texas massacre when the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms killed 76 innocent people, including women and children, as it raided the Branch Davidian compound.
“Waco illustrates the dangers to our lives and liberties posed by a hyper-interventionist foreign policy,” wrote Ron Paul. “Eventually, the deadly tools of the military-industrial complex will be brought home and used against U.S. citizens.”
