New Orleans, NC — Joe Biden’s American body count is about to go up. As the National Weather Service warns of a Hurricane Ida landfall of possible Category 4 status, many wonder what the Biden response will be? This week, we have seen the Biden administration’s handiwork, the kind that leaves 13 American service members and as many as 170 other Afghan citizens.
On Friday, The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida, warned the residents along the Gulf Coast of Ida’s possible powerful punch. Joe Biden convened via phone the governors of Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi, FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell, Homeland Security Advisor Liz Sherwood-Randall, and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs Julie Rodriguez to discuss ongoing preparations for Hurricane Ida, which is projected to strengthen to a Category 4 Hurricane. Ida is expected to make landfall as a dangerous Major Hurricane on Sunday, the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina’s landfall on the Gulf Coast.
Sixteen years ago, Hurricane Katrina crashed upon the Gulf Coast, killing over 1,800 Americans, and is ranked as the costliest natural disaster in U.S. history. In the aftermath, President Bush and then FEMA Director Michael Brown gained significant criticism on the later federal response that many attributed to the increase in deaths. Medica outlets and political pundits ridiculed the Bush administration, which ultimately led to the disgraceful resignation of FEMA Director, Brown, 10-days later.
What have Americans learned since Katrina? With Hurricane Ida expected to make landfall sixteen years to the day since Hurricane Katrina, is our federal response any better? How will Biden respond? While many of these questions remain to be answered, one thing is for sure, if the Biden administration responds in like-kind to how they have acted in Afghanistan, the residents of the Gulf Coast better prepare for their apocalyptic demise.
With his nearly 50-years of political experience, President Biden says that he cannot handle a crisis; he is ill-equipped to handle any emergency, regardless of size. American COVID and Delta variant infections continue to sore. Homicide rates among American minorities are at an all-time high. And 13 flag-draped caskets are heading from Kabul to Dover Airforce Base to illustrate his lack of competence. It is clear; this broken, worn-down old man is out of his league, and that spells disaster for the Gulf Coast as Hurricane Ida sets her sights and her landfall this weekend with tens of millions of people in her crosshairs.
Before this week’s bombing by ISIS-K in Kabul, President Biden took to “knocking on wood” during his press conference in his hopeful expression that no Americans had been killed so far. When 150 mile-per-hour winds come knocking on buildings, trees, power lines, and with a storm surge of over 20-feet, will the President of the United States resort to gestures of good luck? Or, will another presidential gaffe lead to more Biden body bags?
Americans have seen Joe Biden’s actions and inactions; we have all witnessed his handiwork. The question remains, can we continue to tolerate it? How many Americans will have to die in emergencies because our President, and those who serve alongside him, are too ignorant to handle them?
