Washington, DC — Over the last week, two viral videos posted by members of the U.S. military have garnered vastly different reactions from the top brass, and those differences are quite telling of just how woke the military now is.
For demanding accountability after the chaotic exit from Afghanistan, Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller was relieved from his position in the U.S. Marines.
As we are all unfortunately well aware of, 13 members of our armed forces lost their lives last week, Scheller stating he knew one closely in a YouTube video he posted.
But the death and destruction doesn’t stop there. As Ron Paul wrote, the Biden Administration’s response wasn’t to go after any terrorists but rather to kill innocent children, by mistake of course they say.
“Sunday’s news reports that the Biden Administration mistakenly killed nine members of one Afghan family, including six children, in ‘retaliation’ for last week’s suicide attack which killed 13 US service members, is a sad and sick epitaph on the 20 year Afghanistan War,” Paul wrote. He added: “Promising to ‘get tough’ on ISIS, which suddenly reemerged to take responsibility for the suicide attack, the most expensive military and intelligence apparatus on earth appears to have gotten it wrong. Again.”
So back to Scheller. He of course is right that mistakes have been made, and all he’s asking for is accountability. Now he’s fired.
“I want to say this very strongly. I have been fighting for 17 years. I am willing to throw it all away to say to my senior leaders: I demand accountability,” Scheller said in his video. He added: “The reason people are so upset on social media right now is not because the Marine on the battlefield let someone down. That service member always rose to the occasion and has done extraordinary things. People are upset because their senior leaders let them down and none of them are raising their hands and accepting accountability or saying, ‘We messed this up.’”
Scheller notes in the video he understood what the consequences might be for posting the video, but those consequences are worth it to tell the truth.
“I think what you believe in can only be defined by what you’re willing to risk,” Scheller says. “If I’m willing to risk my current battalion seat, my retirement, my family’s stability to say some of the things I want to say, I think it gives me some moral high ground to demand the same honesty, integrity and accountability from my senior leaders.”
Now, let’s contrast that to this peach, Army Sgt. Cindy Bronson. Responding to a fellow American she swore an oath to defend, Bronson chose to make threats because she didn’t like how that American exercised her First Amendment rights.
“Understand that if active duty military actually get deployed within the United States, that weapon is not just going to be pointed at other people, other countries, it’s pointed at you,” Bronson says in a TikTok video. If you do not get in your house when I tell you to, you become the enemy. Martial law. You know, when your rights get curtailed?”
And for making threats and showing her complete disdain for the U.S. Constitution she swore an oath to, nothing has happened to her. Why would it? After all, Bronson is a gay activist and Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley has implicitly informed us all that the military is officially woke back in June.
As journalist Glenn Greenwald wrote: “The overarching ideology of Pentagon officials is larger military budgets and ongoing permanent war posture. Their new war target, explicitly, is domestic ‘white rage.’”
This is disturbing on many levels, and podcaster David Knight called out Bronson quite well.
“Yeah, that little Ellen Degenerate wannabe,” Knight said. “Snarky little LGBT sergeant, that’s Army Sgt. Cindy Bronson wreaking of hubris. ‘Martial law, that’s where you don’t have the rights that you think you’re supposed to have.’ Isn’t that where we’re at right now?”
Knight adds: “That’s why we did not want to have a standing army. The founders of this country realized that a standing army would eventually devolve into mercenaries and then devolve into mercenaries without any character …. People who are drunk with the power that they have, who care nothing about liberty or rights. This is why you don’t want to have a standing army because they will ultimately wind up standing on you, on your throat.”
And that’s where we’re headed. As Knight details, the military has been training to turn their guns on American citizens as he recalled the U.S. Army War College’s training exercise in 2013 in Darlington, South Carolina where the soldiers trained against anti-government, John Deere hat-wearing Americans who got help, of course, from Russia.
Our loss of liberty is the cost of the military industrial complex. Have we had enough of it yet? Our founders warned us. We haven’t been willing to listen.
“What, sir, is the use of a militia? It is to prevent the establishment of a standing army, the bane of liberty. …Whenever Governments mean to invade the rights and liberties of the people, they always attempt to destroy the militia, in order to raise an army upon their ruins.”—Eldridge Gerry, America’s fifth vice president under President James Madison.
