Charlotte, NC — There was a topic trending on social media over the past few days regarding Bill Gates and comments he made in a 2010 TED talk. The comments came up again in regards to COVID-19 and a tweet made by Reuters.
Comments about reducing CO2 emissions made by Bill Gates at a 2010 TED talk have repeatedly been taken out of context by users on social media https://t.co/RfKkwdN6kS

Twitter took it on themselves to try and prove that Bill Gates’ comments were taken out of context. The Associated Press ran an article back in January that Twitter linked to share as well.
There have been many suggestions that Gates could be involved in the COVID-19 pandemic somehow. Some have suggested he was involved in the virus development, others have talked about his links to the vaccines. Either way, the idea that someone said that the world’s population needs to decrease certainly raises some eyebrows in light of the pandemic.
Twitter claims that Gates was taken out of context and never suggested that the world’s population should be reduced by 10 to 15 percent. The Associated Press links back to the transcript of the Gates talk. In his speech, Bill Gates was talking about global warming and attempts to get CO2 emissions to 0.
The exact words from Gates speech were, “First, we’ve got population. The world today has 6.8 billion people. That’s headed up to about nine billion. Now, if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by, perhaps, 10 or 15 percent.”
So if his comments were in light of lowering CO2 emissions, one way to do that is through reduction of the world’s population. Which seems to be exactly what Gates is referring to.
He specifically says that something could be lowered by 10 to 15 percent with new vaccines, health care, and reproductive health services. What was the source he referenced? Global population and specifically the idea that there could be 9 billion people on this earth.
So this is just another great example of how the radical left and the mainstream media want to twist words and try to assign a different meaning to them. Gates specifically referred to population, but what should be more alarming is his comments about how they intended to do it.
He specifically says through new vaccines, health care, and reproductive health services. In other words, if they develop new vaccines, alter the practices of healthcare, and promote specific reproductive health services, like abortion, the population could be controlled.
So does anyone else see the issue as to why many Americans may not be interested in taking the vaccine? Some conspiracy theories have suggested that COVID vaccines cause sterilization or other dramatic effects. While they may not cause those things, do you see how someone could potentially have some doubts?
Or what about his comments regarding the practice of healthcare. Typically, when we have something unknown happening in health care, we do anything we can to try to find a cure. We have seen experimental treatments for countless conditions across the healthcare spectrum. But now, experimental treatments are “ridiculous” and “conspiracy-laden hyperbole.”
We have seen a mainstream media attack a President for suggesting that we should consider alternative treatments for a pandemic that we have never faced before. If you study the history of pandemics, they were constantly researching and attempting alternative treatments to find those that may work. Some treatments may work for some people, but not work for others.
Then there is always the case of abortion. It’s no secret that the radical left continues to weaponize abortion against women. They have brainwashed women and the American people into believing that abortion is reproductive healthcare or women’s healthcare. Everyone forgets about that “clump of cells” called a child.
It does not matter how many times they try to cover these comments by Gates in the “misinformation” category and claim that he was taken out of context. The truth is that discussed reducing CO2 emissions through the reduction of the world’s population. Then he went on to give examples of how that could be achieved.
If you have read my writings for any length of time, you know that I try to stay away from conspiracy theories. Perhaps Gates is clean and has nothing to do with COVID and the COVID vaccines. Even if that’s true, I can certainly see how many Americans may believe he is.
