CHARLESTON, W.Va. — In a video posted Thursday to social media, climate activists surrounded Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) in his Maserati as he attempted to leave a parking garage.
The video, posted to the TikTok account “hungry4climatejustice”, opened with the caption “We blockaded Joe Manchin’s car and he tried to run us over,” showing the Senator laying on his horn as he attempts to roll past a mob surrounding and attempting to push against his $70,000 car to prevent him from moving.
The woman behind the camera brays “pass climate change bills”, before assessing the situation as “Joe Manchin’s car slowly pressing into our peaceful protestors”, while security staff appear to attempt to restrain those standing directly in front of the vehicle. As the mob breaks up, a protestor shouts “we want to live” (ironic, given that he’s standing in front of a moving car), and Manchin drives off.
Of course, this isn’t how the intellectuals over on Twitter framed the situation. In their unicellular minds, Manchin is both figuratively and literally trying to kill them.

This is all completely ridiculous. Manchin didn’t “drive his Maserati into climate protestors”, and these people know that full well. However, their entire worldview is predicated on the idea of a societal dichotomy comprised entirely of oppressors and victims — and naturally, they assume the positions of perpetual victims.

FLOOR IT.
If I were in his shoes, this kind of stupidity would have an extremely adverse effect on me and I would run to the nearest camera and tell everyone in the country that. Then if they continued to do it and surround my car, I might spot a firearm on one of them and decide that my life was in danger and need to get out of there regardless.
Not allowing an individual to leave… is that considered kidnapping? So at that point doesn’t Joe the the right to fight his way out of the kidnapping situation?
