WASHINGTON — Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) says that Democrats are ready to push through plans to eliminate the filibuster if massive election legislation is not passed before Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The threat comes just 2 weeks ahead of the celebration of MLK day.
Roll Call reports that Schumer is considering the change because of recent state election law changes pushed by Republicans.
Schumer is quoted as saying, “how can we in good conscience allow for a situation in which the Republican Party can debate and pass voter suppression laws at the State level with only a simple majority vote, but not allow the United States Senate to do the same.”
Schumer says that Democrats will use this week’s events surrounding January 6 to help build the case to support the federal takeover of elections. It’s just more propaganda as the radical left attempts to continue to push for more illegal ballots in future elections.
They have claimed that Donald Trump set the stage with his claims of voter fraud, but in reality, the measures pushed by Democrats will enable voter fraud.
They wish to eliminate voter ID requirements, mandate mail-in voting, and mandatory drop of boxes for ballots. The measure does not provide any security to make sure those votes are legal or legitimate.
The measure would also allow federal “independent” panels to oversee the design of voting districts. We see how political these “independent” groups have become over the past few years with the Supreme Court.
The measure would also allow the IRS to create rules and decide how to enforce rules related to campaign finance and eliminate the balance of the Federal Election Commission by removing one seat and allowing the party in control to control the FEC.
Each and every step of the legislation is designed to benefit Democrats and allow them to maintain control over federal elections and the US government. Yet, we are told to believe that this is “election security.”
None of the measures described above provide any form of election security. It secures power, which is all the Democrats are truly after.
Once they eliminate the filibuster, the Democrats will not stop ramming radical legislation after radical legislation down the throats of Americans. They will do everything in their power to pass all of their agenda before the November midterms.
