In an interview, he urges Biden to “defend Ukraine’s skies,” following Zelensky’s heartfelt speech to Congress begging for more aid for Ukraine. In a stirring speech, Zelensky urged Congress to “do more” to defend his country, invoking Martin Luther King. He claimed that Ukraine is reliving 9/11 and Pearl Harbor every day, and he showed violent footage of the invasion. Buildings were demolished by missile strikes, children were killed, and bodies were buried in mass graves.
Biden now bears the brunt of the spotlight. Will he seize the occasion and rally the nations of the free world to do whatever it takes to put a stop to Vladimir Putin’s horrors in Ukraine? Will he be able to summon the courage to act in a timely manner?
Biden was also urged by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to become a “global leader” and a “peace leader.”
To prevent further attacks and more weapons and jets, Zelensky also proposed forming a new alliance outside of NATO.
“The destiny of our country is being decided,” he said as he urged the U.S. to help establish a no-fly zone. Towards the end of his speech he said his life stopped “…once the hearts of 100 children stopped beating.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that “Russia…It’s possible that World War III has already begun, with both sides pushing back against each other.” President Joe Biden‘s stance is that the United States can’t provide further assistance because it will exacerbate the crisis, according to the argument.
Before becoming President of Ukraine, Zelenskyy worked as an actor and comedian. He got closest to becoming a politician by portraying the President on Ukrainian television. He carefully studied his lines and is now employing them to save his country.

“Nobody knows whether it may have already started. And what is the possibility of this war if Ukraine will fall, in case Ukraine will? It’s very hard to say,” Zelensky told NBC News‘ Lester Holt. “And we’ve seen this 80 years ago, when the second world war had started … nobody would be able to predict when the full scale war would start.”
Zelensky spoke to NBC News after making an emotional plea for increased aid for his country to politicians in Congress. Holt’s interview with him will run tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC Nightly News.
After confronting President Joe Biden in his comments to members of Congress, he said he would be “glad” to invite him to Ukraine, adding that he has “offered him offers on occasions.”
He also said he would not resign as president if Russia demanded it as part of a cease-fire arrangement.
“There will be an election and the free democratic people of Ukraine will select or elect a president for themselves,” he explained, referring to his five-year ‘term of service’ in the Ukrainian constitution. “There are no additional laws that would make it impossible for Ukraine’s president to quit.”
Today, the Ukrainian people require assistance. This battle will not wait for politicians to argue and tremble under Putin’s mystique.
Instead of being submissive to Putin’s threats, the free world must assert itself and dictate conditions to him.
