World War Three–
The war dogs have been unleashed, and many worry that as a result, our world will never be the same. Billions of people could perish if nuclear weapons are utilized at some point in the future
That is a situation we must avoid at all costs. Countless innocent civilians are still being slaughtered in Ukraine as leaders on both sides play a dangerous game of global dominance.
There would be a lot less military conflict around the world if the politicians who initiate wars were required to fight in them.
After all of that, allow me to provide you with an update on some recent events.
For days, violence has erupted in Jerusalem, and ABC News has admitted that Israel and Hamas may soon “return to war.”
Days of violence in Jerusalem and an overnight exchange of fire in Gaza have heightened the likelihood that Israel and Gaza’s Hamas rulers would go to war again, as they did less than a year ago in identical circumstances.
Let us hope that such a fight may be postponed as long as possible, as it has the potential to escalate into a major regional conflict.
Following the recent rocket attack from Gaza, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz warned that the Israeli military is prepared to go to any length…
“The IDF is ready with a wide range of means and targets, to ensure that peace and stability will continue,” Gantz warned.
“If the incitement and [rocket] fire continue, the terror organizations will be severely harmed, as will the residents of Gaza, who are currently benefiting from the moves we have taken to develop the economy,” Gantz added.
On the other hand, fighters in Gaza have been frantically building new tunnels in preparation for the impending confrontation…The passageways beneath the ground leave no trace on the surface.
Seven masked men in military fatigues moved a collection of machine guns and grenade launchers into a tunnel entrance neatly buried into the foot of a small hill in a wooded region near Khan Yunis.
The gunmen are wearing the Al-Quds Brigade’s headbands, which are the second-largest armed force in Gaza after Hamas, the Islamist movement that dominates the territory.
A full-fledged confrontation would be disastrous for both parties, but one is only a matter of time.
The conflict in Ukraine is even more pressing.
According to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the second stage of Russia’s “special military operation” began on Tuesday...
On Tuesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced that Moscow has begun a new stage of its “special military operation” in Ukraine, which he predicted would be important.
“Another stage of this operation (in eastern Ukraine) is beginning and I am sure this will be a very important moment of this entire special operation”, Lavrov said in an interview with the India Today TV channel.
Regrettably for the Ukrainians, the Russians are striking with an intensity that has stunned much of the world. Take a look at what Politico journalist Christopher Miller has to say…
A Ukrainian army lieutenant on the frontlines in the Donetsk region tells me that Russian howitzers, mortars, and MLRS are hitting him and his forces “at the same time” as we talk. “Earlier today, they were subjected to a similar shelling, as well as two Su-25… “And our day turned into a living horror.”
Miller claimed in another tweet that one of his contacts in the Ukrainian military claims that his forces are being fired on “14 hours a day”…I just spoke with a Ukrainian commander on the frontlines near Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, who reported that Russian airplanes and heavy artillery are hitting their positions 14 hours a day. They’re “desperate” for additional support, he claimed, because they’re outgunned and out of ammunition.
The situation for Ukrainian troops in eastern Ukraine is growing increasingly desperate after weeks of warfare. Getting new ammunition and fuel to those forces has proven quite difficult at this stage.
Almost all of the ammunition and fuel stockpiles in Ukraine have been bombed and destroyed. What comes in through the country’s western borders has trouble reaching the eastern front and is insufficient to supply an army that is actively fighting and maneuvering.
And it turns out that the western nations were completely unprepared for such a confrontation.
In certain circumstances, NATO countries are literally out of supplies to provide to Ukraine. Germany has refused to send tanks to Ukraine, claiming that it simply cannot afford to do so.
Canada swiftly ran out of rocket launchers and other essential weaponry for the Ukrainians. The United States has sent one-third of its Javelin anti-tank missile inventory.
It can’t readily deliver more without depleting its own stockpiles, and considerably increasing output may take months or years.
The Ukrainians are being urged to fight a proxy war for us in which they have no chance of winning. Meanwhile, the last Azov fighters stranded at Mariupol’s Azovstal factory are about to be blown to death…
The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) released a purported communications intercept of a Russian ground unit commander on Tuesday, who claimed that Russian aircraft were planning to “level everything to the ground” around Azovstal, the steel factory that serves as a last line of defense for Ukrainian defenders in Mariupol, which is under siege.
The voice of the leader of a Russian unit four kilometers (about 2.5 miles) from Azovstal is purportedly heard on an audio recording published on Tuesday.
“We’re expecting surprises’ from Russia here,” the man’s voice says.
A woman’s voice responds, “What kind of surprises?”
The man says, “Three-ton ones, from the sky,” adding that his command “said to level everything to the ground.” Many Americans believe that the situation in Ukraine will never impact them personally, thus they aren’t paying any attention to it.
They should, however, be paying attention since this war has grave consequences for all of us. The Russians are fully aware that a proxy war between the US and Russia has begun, and Russian television host Olga Skabeyeva recently coined the phrase “World War Three” to describe the situation in Ukraine.
She defended the “special operation’s” unexpected length by claiming it had turned into a much larger fight.
“What [the war in Ukraine has] escalated into can safely be called World War Three,” going on to insist, “that’s entirely for sure.”
She added, “Now we’re definitely fighting against NATO infrastructure, if not NATO itself. We need to recognize that.”
Regrettably, she is dead on.
World War Three has arrived, and leaders in the United States continue to warn about things getting worse.
In fact, Joe Biden’s closest partner in the United States Senate has stated that he supports deploying American troops to Ukraine.
This isn’t going to end well. But, you already knew that.
