Elon Musk’s son, Xavier, has announced he is changing his gender and his name, now wanting to be known as Vivian.
TMZ explained legal papers were filed by Xavier Musk, who turned 18 earlier this year, saying he now says his name is Vivian Jenna Wilson.
And in the documents filed in Los Angeles, he says he’s a she.
“In the docs, she says she wants to be recognized as female – but the name change isn’t just about her transitioning, there’s clearly a rift with dear ol’ Dad,” explained the publication. “Vivian lists her reason for the name change as … ‘Gender Identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.’”
Elon, of SpaceX and Tesla fame, just a few years ago expressed support for the transgender community on social media. But he also pointed out “all these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare.”
The name Wilson apparently comes from Xavier’s mother, Justine Wilson, who was married to Musk from 2000-2008.
Just the News reported Xavier-Vivian is one of Musk’s five children with Wilson.
