In rhetoric that easily could be considered as having gone way too far toward violence, a Democrat congressman from Ohio has demanded that America needs to “kill and confront” Republicans.
Rep. Tim Ryan identified those in the GOP that he wants, apparently, eliminated as the “extremist” wing.
According to a report from the Daily Caller, Ryan on the radio program called “Morning Joe” said he wants to work with “normal, mainstream Republicans.”
“I’m one of the most bipartisan members of congress,” Ryan boasted. “The last two Congresses I have been in the top 10% of most bipartisan. I want to work across the aisle. Look, Democrats aren’t right on everything, and I’m willing to sit down and have conversations about how we can move out of this age of stupidity and into an age of reconciliation and reform, how do we fix all of these broken systems.”
But, he continued, while “some” answers will come from the GOP, they won’t be from “the extremists that we’re dealing with every single day.”
He said, “We’ve got to kill and confront that movement.”
Ryan was talking with co-host Willie Geist about J.D. Vance, the Republican in the race for the open Senate seat in the state.
Vance has been endorsed by President Donald Trump.
It was Ryan’s party leader, Joe Biden, who recently adopted a new 2022 campaign scheme, blasting the Republicans as “extremists” and even calling them “semi-fascist.”
In short, Biden wildly claimed Republicans are a threat to democracy.
Biden had charged, “Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundation of our republic.”
He added, “There’s no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans. And that is a threat to this country. MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth, but in the shadow of lies.”
He didn’t reference the multiple Democrats who, following the 2016 election, demanded that President Trump was illegitimately elected. That campaign included the now-debunked Russiagate collusion conspiracy that Democrats created to try to bring down Trump, by then the sitting president.
