Joe Biden and his wife Jill attended the Queen’s funeral. They were late, which was rude, and ended up seated 14-rows back in the “nosebleed” seats. They disrupted things when they came in late, and people wondered if Jill had to stop and “change” Joe before they went in. It’s a funny joke, but it’s also not out of the realm of possibility, and that’s pretty scary. Joe spoke about the Queen to the press, saying that she reminded him of his mother. Huh? Give me a break.
This is yet another lie told by Joe Biden. His mother didn’t remind him of the Queen. Why? Because they both had white hair? Absurd. He never fails to miss an opportunity to make a situation all about himself, does he? I half expected him to bring up his deceased son Beau again. He could remind the mourners that he knows how they all feel because he lost his son.
Well, let me tell you, there’s one very, very big problem with Joe’s claim about his mother reminding him of the Queen because his mother actually hated the Queen and even wrote nasty poems about her. Western Journal reported that Joe Biden was among the dozens of leaders and dignitaries in London on Monday to attend the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II, but his presence has resurrected a rather stark bit of awkwardness he once infused into his own relationship with the late monarch.
You see, President Biden’s mother was an Irishwoman, and an Irishwoman who reportedly harbored a violent hatred for the English — their queen most especially.
“President Biden grew up with a set of lessons that included a maxim from his mother: Don’t kiss the pope’s ring, and don’t bow down to the queen,” The Washington Post reported shortly after the queen’s passing in an article, which has been changed from “For Biden, Queen Elizabeth was a motherly figure” to “Biden says queen ‘defined an era.’ For a proud Irishman, it’s complicated” in the days since.
The Biden family views on the royal family are complicated indeed. You see, President Biden once compared the late queen to his mother — the same mother who vehemently hated Queen Elizabeth, by all accounts.
Last year after visiting with the queen during a trip to the United Kingdom, Biden told reporters, “I don’t think she’d be insulted, but she reminded me of my mother, the look of her and just the generosity.”
Jean, however, as Biden’s mother Catherine Finnegan was known, had a less-than-generous view of Her Majesty.
According to English comedian Georgia Pritchett, who spent some time with Biden in the White House when he was serving in the Obama administration while doing research for the comedy series “Veep,” the late Ms. Finnegan even wrote violently hateful poems about the British crown.
Joe Biden did his best to cover up for the fact that his mother hated the English with a passion, but her hatred was so deep-seated and severe that she left a trail of it behind. One time, Joe’s mother refused to sleep in a bed that the Queen reportedly slept in, and instead, she slept on the floor all night.
I mean, this woman really hated the Queen.
So, why would Biden say what he did?
I’ll tell you why, because he’s a cheesy old-school politician, who thinks corny quips that like that are “endearing.”
Biden’s still lost, wandering around in 1992.
