I guess you can say that this man is making the best of a really crappy situation. He lives in Florida, and his house took a big hit from Hurricane Ian. But I only wish he wouldn’t swim in that because I fear there’s likely sewer water in there. I mean, truthfully, it doesn’t look very clean. But hey, he’s having fun, right? I am sure his insurance company is watching this clip, sweating bullets.
Here’s the latest on the storm from Wesh: Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida as a dangerous Category 4 hurricane Wednesday afternoon.
Ian came ashore near Cayo Costa, Florida, with winds of 150 mph.
As of the 7 p.m. advisory, Hurricane Ian was moving north-northeast at 8 mph and winds had slowed slightly to 125 mph. It was located 25 miles northeast of Punta Gorda, Florida, and 100 miles south-southwest of Orlando.
The storm is expected to cause life-threatening storm surge, catastrophic winds and flooding in the Florida peninsula. The National Weather Service warned “conditions will deteriorate tonight.”
“The threat of significant to catastrophic flooding is expected to develop tonight and into Thursday for areas from North Osceola and North Brevard, including metro Orlando. Flooding can be especially dangerous at night,” the NWS said.
“Conditions will deteriorate tonight. TS to hurricane force winds are expected. The threat of significant to catastrophic flooding is expected to develop tonight-Thu for areas from N Osceola & N Brevard north including metro Orlando. Flooding can be especially dangerous at night.”
The center of Ian is forecast to move over Central Florida Wednesday night and Thursday morning and emerge over the western Atlantic by late Thursday.

Tropical Storm Warnings have been issued for: Flagler County, Marion County

But let’s get back to the breast stroke guy, and take a look at his form, as he swims through his living room.

I think he did great. If they ever make this an Olympic event, he’ll get gold, for sure.
But in all seriousness, what the folks in Florida have to worry about next is all the tornados that will spawn off this storm, and as we know, tornados are so dangerous and deadly. I was in one tornado and it was so terrifyingly loud and scary. I lived in an apartment complex, and all the tenants went down into the basement to ride out the storm, and even through the 19 feet of concrete, you could still feel the raw power of nature and hear the destruction happening all around you. I have also been in earthquakes… a really bad one, in California where my bed slid from one wall to the other — but I’ll take that over a tornado, any day of the week.
So, we will keep praying for the folks in Florida, as they continue dealing with this powerful storm and the aftermath. It’s going to be hard for a lot of these people. They’ll need help and support.
Here’s what people online are saying about the living room swimmer:
“If you build below sea level, your entire first floor must be open garage and your house on poles surrounded by concrete.”
“The guy swimming in his living room just got back from the garage on a beer run….”
“Swim strong, Florida”
“Really upsetting these morons are blaming climate change for this. Like a empty suit politician or driving a Prius can save you from a CAT5 hurricane. What a brain dead society haha.”
“Leftists will blame it on ‘global warming’ in 3… 2… 1…”
“Can you still call it the “breast stoke” anymore without the Twitter mob having a conniption fit?”
“Thats gallows humor at its finest and I love it”
“I’ll tell you what, that’s the American spirit right there. Amazing”
“Imagine gators breaking into houses and chomping on people … yikes. Could happen”
“Prayers for Florida. My little South Texas town took a full on hit by a CAT4 in 2017 at the hands of “Harvey”…. It will be tough times emotionally with no time to deal with it bcuz of the immediate needs of putting your life back together. It is a long process like no other.”
“I think that guy is swimming in toilet water, to be honest.”
I agree that water looks very suspect.
