There are so many people talking about Joe and his dementia, cognitive issues, or whatever the heck is happening with this deteriorating old man. Many are fearful that a senile buffoon, who thinks dead people are alive, sitting in the audience, and who can’t find his way off a 6-foot stage or believes his son who died of brain cancer, was killed in Iraq, will haplessly lead us into WW3 because he doesn’t even know what he’s doing or what day it is.
Americans are now calling for the 25th Amendment, one is enough.
I don’t blame people who feel this way, but there’s something everyone is missing about Joe Biden. It’s not really the “dementia” that’s our biggest problem… It’s something else that has plagued Joe Biden his entire life, and the number one reason this entire country is in danger.
I read a brilliant piece today on this very topic, and I rushed to share it with you.
Town Hall reporter Derek Hunter reports that there’s something seriously wrong with Joe Biden. I realize that’s not exactly breaking news, but it is something we’re going to have to discuss because the implications are beyond the point of being able to ignore them. The 25th Amendment exists for a reason, and Joe is demonstrating that reason almost daily.
Remember all the talk about Donald Trump and the 25th Amendment? “He walked slowly down a wet ramp, he must be removed!” “Did you see that mean tweet? He’s got to go!” It didn’t matter what the then President did, a leftist was insisting it was a threat to the republic and he had to be removed because of it.
Joe Biden routinely makes false statements about his own life, and everyone pretends that’s how he is – “It’s just Joe being Joe.”
In one sense, that’s true. Joe Biden has always been a liar. But I’m not suggesting he be tossed from office because of his lifelong dishonesty, or even his senility. The thing about Joe as president is you never know if he’s lying or if he’s just so damn dumb he doesn’t know any better. He’s only been senile in the last few years, he’s been stupid his whole life.
But there’s something else that has been a factor in Joe Biden’s whole life that is even more dangerous than his stupidity of senility: his insecurity.
Joe Biden’s whole life has been an act of fiction of his own making. You have to ask yourself why he lies about so many things, most of which are insignificant – “I used to drive a truck” “My great-grandpa was a coal miner,” etc. He’s wildly insecure and trying to get the people he’s talking to – truck drivers, coal miners – to like him.
This point that Derek makes is brilliant. He’s right. Joe Biden has spent his entire political career trying to get the “Average Joe” to like him, relate to him, to be his “buddy.” And I think for Joe it was “job security” and survival because he knew he couldn’t compete with these academia-types in any other way. Having the blue-collar support was an ace up his sleeve. I have never heard it put that way, as an “insecurity,” and when I read that, I was like “YES!” It really explains so much.
Derek ties it all together and points out how truly deranged and dangerous Joe Biden’s insecurities make him, and even worse with a raging case of dementia:
When you look back at Joe’s career, what are his accomplishments, and what is he known for? He tried to destroy Clarence Thomas, but the good Justice was confirmed anyway and still serves on the bench. He’s run for president multiple times and only when against a clown car of fellow Democrats did he win (and even that took a deal with many of them to prevent Bernie Sanders from winning).
Legislatively, Biden’s Senate career has been a waste. The closest thing he has to an accomplishment is the 1994 crime bill, but even that he’s had to walk away from as Democrats now embrace crime and criminals. Imagine having a 50+ year career in politics and knowing you didn’t matter.
Being President means Joe Biden will be remembered, but it doesn’t mean he will have mattered. Jimmy Carter is remembered as a horrible president. Joe Biden is worse.
Joe knows this, even through the fog of dementia.
That causes him to raise the level of his lies to give others the impression that he’s more important than he is. So, when he says, “We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis, [Putin is] not joking when he talks about the potential use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons because his military is, you might say, significantly underperforming,” he’s inflating a situation to make himself seem more important. More of a “This situation is very dangerous, but I’m in charge and will save us.”
Again, Derek nails it. Joe Biden has always been a braggart. He’s always been the guy who knew he wasn’t as good as everyone else, but who wanted so desperately to be someone’s “Big Guy.” And that person was his son Hunter… now you know why Joe says Hunter is the smartest guy he’s ever met. He’s a narcissist, too.
Derk continues: Joe Biden knows he’ll never be as beloved as JFK is. Biden isn’t even liked by a majority of his party (and probably his own family, if we’re being honest), and he knows it. So, Joe elevates the Ukraine/Russia mess to the level of the Cuban Missile crisis in the hope of seeming important by proxy.
Only a wildly insecure person would do that.
But the words of a President, even a moronic one, matter. Biden’s statement to Democrat mega-donors elevated the tensions between the US and Russia. It also caused a rift between the US and many of our allies, who see those words as dangerous and dumb and have issued statements distancing themselves from Biden.
It was all-around stupid, but to those donors in the room – presumably, people of accomplishment and people with money – Joe seemed important, maybe even cool. That’s great for his self-esteem, but it’s dangerous and damaging to our country’s standing in the world.
It’s such a perfect spot-on observation.
As Derek so brilliantly puts it, it’s not so much Joe Biden’s “dementia” that has us in a world of trouble – although that plays a big enough role – it’s Joe’s legendary insecurities that are putting us at the most risk, and you add in the cognitive issues and you’ve got a ticking time bomb waiting to explode.
At the very least, when Joe still had his wits about him, he had the mental wherewithal to put the breaks on when he saw himself getting out of hand.
He can’t do that anymore. He doesn’t know how, so we’re all sitting in this car with Joe at the wheel, and he’s going full speed ahead towards a cliff.
And I believe the only reason Congress won’t address this 25th Amendment issue is the fear of Kamala taking over… but after the midterm bloodbath, all of that might change very quickly. We’ll see.
