There’s been a lot of talk about midterms. They were actually pretty good for us. No, they weren’t a “red wave” but that’s okay. We still did good. Could we have done better? Yes, but in this politically polarized state we’re in, and with all the ballot harvesting, we managed to pull off some huge wins, and more are coming as Arizona and Nevada are still reporting, for crying out loud.
They’re trying to give those results as far away from election day as humanly possible, so Joe can still take his fake “victory laps.”
In the meantime, all the NeverTrumpers, establishment types, and DeSantis 2024 folks are out there trashing and blaming Trump, which is asinine.
So, what does Tucker think? Does he think this was all Trump’s fault? Of course not… only people trying to do the bidding of the establishment are spreading that nonsense.
Bizpacreview reported that while some piling-on pundits have blamed former President Trump as well as backlash from the Dobbs decision for what happened on Election Day 2022, the way balloting is currently conducted in the U.S. goes to the essence of the underperformance.
That was the message, in part, of a Tucker Carlson monologue on Wednesday evening about an anticipated national red wave that never materialized.
The implication is that the Democrat machine, with tons of cash to spend, has used mail-in ballots, ballot harvesting, and other methods in an environment of lax voting integrity that gives them a big advantage. These techniques perhaps practically render traditional campaigning and debate almost irrelevant.
And the conundrum is that the GOP has to figure out a way to get elected in these challenging circumstances in blue states, in particular, to bring back rationality to the process.
On “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Carlson admitted that Trump “has always been a mixed blessing politically.”
“The downsides are marbled in with the upsides, but in this case, he’s certainly not the single cause of anything,” the Fox News host said, suggesting that some down-ballot losses could not be attributed to the former POTUS.
“Whether you like Trump or not, and many don’t and a lot do, it’s a lot more complicated than just him,” he said in the video clip embedded above.
He acknowledged that some pro-choice “suburban ladies were mad” about the Supreme Court overturning the Roe v. Wade decision, but that didn’t seem to prevent other high-profile Republican candidates from winning their races.
“That’s certainly plausible in some places, probably true. On the other hand, a number of resolutely, pro-life Republicans thrived statewide. They would include Ron Johnson in Wisconsin, Brian Kemp in Georgia, Ted Budd in North Carolina, a pro-life result. So abortion may have been a factor, but it’s not the whole answer.”
In a callback to complaints by U.S. Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) about candidate quality, Carlson seemingly rejected that premise.
“The quality of a candidate does matter, but really, how much does it matter? Well, let’s see. Joe Biden got elected president two years ago from his basement. John Fetterman became a U.S. senator last night. Does anyone think John Fetterman was a quality candidate? Is that why he won, because they had quality candidates on the left? Do the voters of Pennsylvania really want a brain-damaged candidate who’s never had a real job? Did they think he was more impressive than the guy who spent his career doing heart transplants? Probably not…” Carlson surmised.
Watch:
And popular Twitter account “Election Wizard” got it right:
All this Trump v. DeSantis talk is juicy, but under the hood, there’s a far more pressing issue: Democrats fortified their COVID mass mail-in-voting apparatus. It’s a vote-harvesting juggernaut that will continue to produce competitive results no matter the GOP nominee.
Many factors went into last night. VBM falls short of explaining it all, but it’s crucial to understand VBM has changed the game in many ways. 2020 wasn’t a one-off. There is now a well-established Democrat machine that will harvest hordes of votes during “Election Month.”
But the DeSantis 2024 folks, along with Paul Ryan and other establishment scumbags are using the midterms as an excuse to Trash Trump and push for DeSantis.
The establishment either thinks that can easily control DeSantis, or they’re just using him to destroy Trump and MAGA, or maybe it’s both.
But that’s what’s happening right now, every time you see someone trashing Trump and calling for DeSantis.
The people we should be blaming are the establishment, who are trying to screw us over in several different ways right now, and some of us don’t realize it, and others just don’t care, because like liberals, they also want to get rid of Trump, at any cost.
