A new story has come out about the Idaho killings and it has me somewhat confused. This entire time we were told that two surviving roommates slept through the killings, and were locked in their rooms. We were told that the next morning the thought somene was “passed out” so they called 911. That’s what we were told. But now, that story is changing. A LOT. Now, we’re being told that one of the surviving roommates actually saw the killer, and froze in terror.
That’s a completely different story than what we heard and if that’s the case, why didn’t that person call 911 immediately?
So strange…
Bizpacreview reported that the suspect in the Moscow, Idaho murders, Bryan Kohberger, was denied bail on Thursday as details emerged showing that his DNA was found on a knife sheath at the scene and that one of the roommates saw the killer in black clothes and a mask at the house.
Kohberger is being charged with four counts of murder and one count of burglary in the Nov. 13 killing spree, according to the Daily Mail. If he’s convicted, he could get the death penalty for the murders of Idaho students Maddie Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. He claims he is innocent.
Surviving roommate Dylan Mortensen was the one that saw the killer, according to the 19-page probable cause affidavit released by police. She reportedly heard someone crying and Goncalves saying, “There’s someone here.” She told police that the killer had “bushy eyebrows.”
The affidavit also revealed that Xana Kernodle ordered from DoorDash and it arrived 20 minutes before the killing started.
“Further details on Kohberger’s alleged stalking of his victims was shared. His phone was found to have been in the vicinity of their Moscow home 12 times before the November murders, starting in mid-August,” Daily Mail reported.
What reportedly nailed Kohberger was the DNA that was found on the snap button of a knife sheath that was found where the murders took place. The sheath was tan leather with the USMC and “KA-BAR” insignias stamped on it. According to Moscow PD Officer Brett Payne, it was found on a single bed next to the bodies of Maddie Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves.
This new story calls into question everything we were told early on. The only thing I can think of is that police didn’t want tis version of what happened told to the public for whatever reason.
Here’s what the New York Post said about it:
One of the roommates in the University of Idaho murder house came face to face with the killer just moments after the bloody slaughter of her friends, according to a police report.
Dylan Mortensen, 21, described her creepy encounter with the black-clad figure, when she opened her bedroom door after hearing a noise a little after 4 a.m.
A police affidavit reads: “Mortensen stated she opened her door … and saw a figure clad in black clothing and a mask that covered the person’s mouth and nose walking towards her.
“Mortensen described the figure as 5′ 10″ or taller, male, not very muscular, but athletically built with bushy eyebrows. The male walked past [her] as she stood in a ‘frozen shock phase.’
“The male walked towards the back sliding glass door. Mortensen locked herself in her room after seeing the male.”
But my question is this: when was 911 called and by whom?
We still don’t know ow that played out.
