Well, Kevin McCarthy secured the speakership after a really long, and truly amazing situation that unfolded in the House. It took him 15 rounds to get the gavel. I love that we stood up for ourselves and got what we wanted. Honestly, this was the best outcome. I know many of you out there are “NeverMcCarthy” and while I understand that, he’s a backstabbing swamp creature, we did not have the numbers to put any of “our guys” in the speaker seat. And apparently, Jim Jordan, who was really our only viable hope, was not going to budge and accept any nomination whatsoever.
So, it was either, break McCarthy and weaken him, while strengthening our side and getting our concessions, or risk getting McCarthy (with help from Dems who could just refuse to show up for the vote) or someone even worse.
This was the best outcome for us, whether you want to admit it or not.

Matt Gaetz said they got everything that they wanted. He and Rep Boebert appeared on Hannity in front of a live audience to talk about it:
But things got hairy last night. At one point, after the 14th vote, Rep Mike Rogers had to be “held back” from punching Matt Gaetz.
Our friends at The Liberty Daily have the wild story:
14 failures will taint Kevin McCarthy’s reign as Speaker of the House. The concessions that he appears to have given to conservatives in the House will make it harder for him to get his Uniparty Swamp agenda to play.
Nevertheless, he was finally voted in as Speaker after enough of the final holdouts voted “present.” Matt Gaetz had upended the 14th vote that was supposed to be McCarthy’s anointing, but caved for the 15th.
It even looked like it might turn violent when Congressman Mike Rogers had to be restrained as he headed toward Gaetz after the 14th failure.
Rep. Richard Hudson pulls Rep. Mike Rogers back as they talk with Rep. Matt Gaetz amid a 14th failed vote for House speaker late Friday night.

McCarthy in the video looks scared to death… Like, “Oh NO, now a massive fight will shut this whole thing down tonight….”
Also, this can’t possibly be Mike’s real hair…Gotta be careful. That thing could have come flying off!
In the end, I think this entire situation was good for us. I think it showed the establishment the power we have, and we used it to our advantage and we got everything we wanted. Now, we hold Kevin’s feet to the fire, or we remove him as speaker.
