Tuesday delivered another blow to the whistleblowers credibility. News outlets are reporting that the whistleblower has a private GoFundMe account set up in order to accept donations. This would be a direct violation of federal law and brings about many more questions regarding the whistleblower.
In the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) complaint, the whistleblower has received over $250,000 in donations which is a violation of 5 CFR 2635.203. Additionally, the complaint alleges that donations may have come from sources other than US citizens. This would include individuals such as foreign citizens or governments.
This highlights concerns regarding the integrity and plan of the intelligence officer. CIA agents are said to be individuals of high integrity without political bias. Yet, the decision by this officer to accept illegal donations questions his integrity. There are additional details about the GoFundMe account that are interesting as well.
A group called Whistleblower Aid helped start the GoFundMe account for the whistleblower, in coordination with his attorneys. The group, Whistleblower Aid, is a subsidiary of the organization Values United. The group just happens to be confounded by the “whistleblowers” attorney Mark Zaid. Isn’t that just an interesting coincidence. It gets better.
If you look at the tax documents that are cited in the Fox News article, the organization was given tax exempt status in March 2017. So in January 2017, Zaid tweeted that a coup has started. In March, he partners in the organization to help protect them through the coup. His partner is a whistleblower against a Reagan executive order during the Obama administration. Anyone else see a problem?
The Whistleblower Aid group also boasts on it’s website that it helps arrange congressional meetings. When someone desires to raise concerns about a complaint, the group’s progressive leadership will set up meetings with congressional leaders that will help them. This makes it seem possible the group could have set up the meeting between the “whistleblower” and Rep. Adam Schiff’s office.
The Fox News article continues that the Whistleblower Aid group paid over $250,000 to West End Strategy Team. The purpose of the payment was for advertising and consulting purposes. The interesting thing behind this is that the West End Strategy Team is a group that promotes progressive policies and agendas. A quick scroll through the terms used on their staff’s experience includes words such as LGBTQ rights, social justice, worker rights, etc.
The latest developments continue to highlight how this investigation appears to be nothing short of a partisan hack. Democrats continue to push the impeachment agenda without Republican support. The more information that continues to come out, the more the public’s trust of the Democrats will continue to erode in this process.
