On Tuesday night there was another Democratic debate. CNN is no doubt excited about the debate. They needed someone to take attention away from their issues. So now we have the Democratic candidates to help them out. The debate was so pointless that I even debated on writing an article about it. Yet, here I am committed to bringing you my take on the night.
The problem? The candidates really didn’t do much of anything. Sure, Mayor Pete went after Warren a little bit, Biden and Sanders went round and round. Yet, none of the candidates really stood out. I am positive that the main stream media will select a winner, but it was generally a snooze.
What’s clear after this debate is that Democrats are not hiding the fact they want the government to control everything. From private companies, healthcare, guns and religion, Democrats think the government should run it. They also believe in taxes. Essentially, you don’t need anything except to work and pay taxes.
Another thing that is clear is Democrats have a lot of ideas, but no clue how to actually pay or enforce them. Sanders and Warren clearly have ideas to give away free stuff and tax you into submission. Yet, they don’t have a method to truly put all their plans into place when they cannot tax enough to pay for them. O’Rourke simply believes that everyone will freely give up their guns if he passes a mandatory buy back. Naive right?
As I read through Twitter reading comments, the only members on stage that seemingly had positive remarks from the middle was Yang and Gabbard. While both have radical ideas and proposals, both seemed somewhat normal compared to the rest of the field. While I doubt either has a chance to win the nomination, either has set themselves up well for a position in a potential Democrat’s administration.
If you missed this debate, you only missed more of the same gibberish. You can simply read the recaps of previous debates and you’ve heard it all. Well, except for the endless bashing of President Trump. While it’s the same story, they seemed to spend a lot more time focused on him in this debate than the previous debates.
